Verse one or two of You Never Give Me Your Money ?
Verse two. I like the whole ‘I never give you my number, I only give you my situation’ bit, the singer admits he’s just as bad as the other. I dunno.

That’s a very hard choice, but I’m going to have to go with Yesterday . It may be overplayed, but I still love it.

Run Of The Mill , no contest. (Sorry, BTLD.) It’s just so profound and musically wonky like George’s teeth. Olivia has said it’s her favourite because it’s just the most George, and I’m inclined to agree.
Massively overplayed solo-Beatle-songs: My Sweet Lord or Imagine ?

Amazing song. Very underrated (although maybe the title has something to do with it?)

Imagine . It definitely deserves it, though.
John or Ringo’s outfit in the IATW music video?

I prefer John’s outfit because it’s more colorful, though Ringo’s is certainly fine.

Oh that’s tough, they’re both marvelous… I’d have to say Roll Over Beethoven though, it’s a) more iconic and b) a better song.

Octopus’s Garden . George’s guitar + the production in general (and it’s also a slightly more interesting song generally)

Difficult choice! Both represent their scenes well, the relentless single-mindedness of one and the more schizo, unpredictable flow of the other. Hm. It’s interesting how GM reuses wywy ideas, and I really love that “sailing” motif that recurs. I wish there some tympanis in March…”Sea Of Time .” (this time)
Mouth organ solo! “Little Child ” or “I’m A Loser “?

I Should Have Known Better . I’m not sure which is the better riff so I’m going with the better song.

Child Of Nature . I love Jealous Guy , but I would have preferred for Child Of Nature to have been recorded and potentially released on the White Album .
Which interesting piece of storytelling revolving around the life of a lonely female lead set to a background mostly consisting of string parts do you prefer: She’s Leaving Home or Eleanor Rigby ?

Beatlebug, Richard, StrawberryFields91I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.

he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’m going to have to differ from QM and choose Not Guilty , because a) we already have Mother Nature’s Son ; b) Jealous Guy is supreme; and c) Not Guilty , the Beatles one, is an absolute delicious slice of acidic Harrisonics.
I do love the description of She’s Leaving Home and Eleanor Rigby , though. I’ll go with Eleanor Rigby because I have a bit more history with it, it’s from Revolver , and my kid sister used to play air violin to it when she was like four (I think she got it from me ’cause I used to do it too) and it was super cute. So there’s that.

Wow, that’s hard. I’m going to say Within You Without You because I love the opening part, and like the lyrics slightly (but only slightly) better.

Definitely God . The whole section of “I don’t believe in” ending with “I don’t believe in Beatles” is spine-chillingly powerful. That was the moment the band truly broke up, I guess.
Paul as a drummer or as a pianist?

Paul is competent enough on drums, I think, but his piano playing is on another level – like on “Look Up The Number” where he comes up with five different styles of playing the chord changes.

I’m partial to Pam because she’s a swinging drag king. Also, it scans better.

Anvil. Firstly, it sounds cooler to say ‘I’m an anvil player’; secondly, anvil could actually be considered a legitimate percussion instrument.
