@Jolly Jimmy According to Wikipedia that’s a winner. paul-mccartney-thumb_gifDon’t know about Donovan’s writing contributions to Yellow Submarine though. I saw him once in concert and he seemed to be taking credit for teaching the Beatles how to play guitar.

From Wikipedia Mellow Yellow page:

Paul McCartney can be heard as one of the background revelers on this track, but the “quite rightly” whispering lines in the chorus is not McCartney, but rather Donovan himself.[10] Donovan had a small part in coming up with the lyrics for “Yellow Submarine“, and McCartney played bass guitar (uncredited) on portions of Donovan’s Mellow Yellow album.

Near to the end of this video, Donovan says that he provided the “Sky of blue and sea of green” lyric to Yellow Submarine :

Donovan talks about guitar techniques and his time in India with the Beatles:

For many of us, our first impression (before hearing even one note of music) came from seeing a picture of the Beatles and their unusual long hair.  As a tribute to that, I present:

13 (BEATLE OR SOLO) SONGS THAT MENTION HAIR.  THIS COULD BE THE WORD HAIR, TYPES OF FACIAL HAIR, OR THE NAME OF A HAIR STYLE
