Lucy, the first clue was “Blue Album era”. The era refers to the time period covered by the Blue Album , so (with the recent addition of Now And Then ) this basically means 1967 onwards. The alternative, the “Red Album era”, is 1962-1966. They are convenient clues for narrowing down the choice of songs to those particular eras.

The “Blue Album era” would be 1967-1970. And “Red Album era” would be 1962-1966. It’s just my way of giving a clue whether it was released early or late in the Beatles career.
