Another Day

“Every day” / “It’s just another day” / “Drinks another coffee and she finds it hard to stay awake”

* I suppose Another Day can now be considered to be a Beatles (group) song as it has been published in the Beatles’ Get Back soundtrack (Twickenham Studios sessions).

@Richard

I almost used Another Day for my hint (instead of Ground Hog Day). I think a while back it was agreed the lyrics must be included on one of these albums. Do we want to expand the list to include new releases?

I’m not sure if anything was agreed, but I would be happy with that list as there are still quite a number of song choices available from those albums. Should the deluxe versions of those albums be taken into consideration, which include songs such as Goodbye, Blue Moon, etc.?

What’s your opinion, please, @Ahhh Girl?

What do other forum members think about this subject?

As I recall, the question came up when someone posted this image of Suzy Parker.

download-9.jpgImage Enlarger

When challenged they pointed to this list of songs attempted in January 1969 during the Get Back sessions. I think allowing these songs would substantially change how the game is played. Some of these “songs” don’t even have published lyrics. If a Get Back soundtrack album is released, then I think those songs would be a welcome addition.

List of songs attempted during the January 1969 Get Back sessions (includes dates the songs were performed).

This is a hard one. Using the newly-released session songs may put off some people from playing the game. However, most people who play the game are hardcore fans who will probably know about these releases. I’d say for now, let’s stick to the list in the spoilers. If we all agree, I can add the list to post 1 of the thread.

I think a huge pool of over 1000 new ‘songs and fragments’ might make the game entirely different and much harder, myself.

I think by going into the mire of the ‘Get Back ‘ sessions you’re putting off newbies and casual players whilst taking the game into at times almost impossible realms of deduction. The GB sessions are filled with deliberate lyric errors and changes from established Beatles, solo and cover tracks, in-jokes, half-cocked ideas from numerous people that were riffed for 30 seconds before discarded and random rehearsals/jams. It’s a minefield.

There are something like 300 released Beatles tracks to chose from if utilising the BBC, Anthology and [maybe] Deluxe albums, surely that is a big enough pool.
