I think thanking the person who made the answer you think to be correct could lead eventually to people thanking someone other people have thanked just so they don’t get an answer wrong, leading to fewer answers. I’m not saying that has happened yet, but I am saying that could happen.

Offline Spoilers clearly make more sense as it encourages people to still answer. If folk want to look that’s up to them, same as if they want to look up the answers before answering.
The correct answer should be taken but there has to be a source of evidence provided to settle the matter, otherwise, it could lead to long discussions which disrupt the quiz – unless it’s blatantly obvious like it gives ‘Hey Jude ‘ as the title of their first film released in 1964. Here’s hoping one question is not ‘Who sang the ahh’s on ‘ADITL’?

“boys” take 2: what Beatle does Ringo mention by name in the lyrics? George. he says “alright, George.” which leads into the solo
that’s my favourite part of every early Ringo solo “alright George”, “rock on George” etc.
