Okay, so has anyone heard of that game (I saw it on an episode of cougar town, don’t know if anyone here watches that show) where you take 2 movie titles and put them together, you mix the plots together in a summary and someone has to guess the movie title mash-up. Well, I started thinking about this game and started applying it to Beatles songs, taking lyrics from 2 songs and seeing if someone can guess the song title mash-up. Since I don’t know many people who could successfully play this game with me, I thought I’d try it out on here.
I’ll give an example of an easy one first in case I didn’t explain very well:
-Little darling it’s been a long cold lonely winter, quando paramucho mi amore de felice carathon
would be Here Comes The Sun King
See if you can guess these:
– Hold your head up you silly girl look what you’ve done, the clouds will be a daisy chain so let me see you smile again
– Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner but he knew it wouldn’t last, well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
they leave the West behind

This looks fun…
Also, Anna, the song titles are supposed to connect. Run For Your Life and Lucy… don’t share any common words.

Alright game lovers – @Molly Jones has named this game Song Title Mash Up Game. For those of you who had not yet seen this thread, it was titled I have a new game. While it was elegant in its simplicity, a more descriptive title was in order.
I’m going to like this one – thanks again, Molly Jones! Read the first post for instructions and pick up where I left off by guessing the two song titles I was going for with this entry.

Tell Me Why Don’t We Do It In The Road?
Can we use solo Beatle songs as well? It would add a lot of possibilities.
If so:
Like gravy, I keep moppin’ it up, moppin’ it up, yeah, and though it’s only a whim, she thinks of him
If not:
If the sun has faded away, I’ll try to make it shine, and then while I’m away I’ll write home every day

I agree solo stuff would add to the possibilities. But, until the OP says otherwise, we should extend to her the courtesy of keeping within the original rules. What say you, @Molly Jones ?

I think solo work is a fine idea, it’ll make more possibilities and make for some that will be more challenging, too.
Because you’re sweet and lovely girl I love you, there’s a fog upon L.A. and my friends have lost their way

I like that, @Starr Shine? – it’ll make it easier for those who may not be familiar with the solo catalogs. Anyone have any objections to a notifier like (CS), meaning Contains Solo, at the beginning of the sentence? It would look like this if I use @Bulldog ‘s example upthread:
(CS) Like gravy, I keep moppin’ it up, moppin’ it up, yeah, and though it’s only a whim, she thinks of him
Which, BTW is She’s My Baby’s In Black . (good one, B-dog).
Please continue with @meanmistermustard ‘s clue above.
