The Beatles were going back to their roots, as nature intended, and yet no Pete Best return and no reason for why not despite 55 years, two released albums, two U.S. singles, four unreleased albums, two films and a uber-super-sparkly-deluxe being released. The world needs a Beatles + Pete reunion.

Yes, in fact several; "Pinwheel Twist", "Thinking of Linking" and "Carnival Of Light " were all unrecorded at Decca.

Paul McCartney would be pitcher, since he was a workaholic.
John would be catcher, since he worked closely with Paul and they pretty much made the bulk of the material.
George should just be a fielder
and that leaves Ringo as shortstop, underappreciated but still very important.
