Jesus.

Incidentally,  I’ve been wondering if maybe it’s a good idea tweaking this thread title a bit, to “Beatles Trivia – Even Easier! (wrong answers encouraged…)”, or something better but similar – just to make it less misleading, and possibly more enticing to newcomers. Just a thought for you mods… apple01

Pete Best, he claimed the title of First Beatle four times, asking John, Paul, George and Ringo respectively, and then a fifth time from George Martin. He gave up the undertaking before trying a sixth time though.

The recording of which Beatles album coincided with Lennons “lost weekend”?

The moptops, Eric and The ClapTones, and The Clavinettes. But all of them were the Beatles in disguise.

Why was their song Hey Rude so controversial?

It wasn’t really the song that was terribly controversial, as much as it was the accompanying promotional video, in which three of four Beatles appeared completely, scandalously, barefoot throughout. (The holdout was George, who intended to participate but got cold feet at the last minute. Ultimately, he compromised by wearing socks with holes, through which he allowed both big toes to protrude salaciously.)

What did the text printed on the back cover of the “Sgt. Pepper ” album consist of?

Beethoven’s poetry, which the Beatles, and particularly Ringo, had long admired. It was also public domain by that point.

Which other classical poetry-composers did the Beatles admire?

Paul. He wrote a whole concept album rock opera about the experience.

What were some of the other themes of Paul’s concept album rock opera, Singed My Hand On A Flaming Pie?

Mostly food, drinks and kitchen stuff, as heard in songs like Calico PiesBaking on a Sunday and Beautiful Sprite.

What’s the main theme of Pauls 1982 concept album Hug of Floor?

It was all built around the image of George Martin reading a newspaper on the floor of Abbey Road . All of the song titles are taken from headlines from the paper, and the songs interpret George’s reactions to the stories.

Who was the inspiration for both And Your Bird Can Sing and Hey Bulldog ?

My hot take is that after the Beatles split they went down the paths of spiritualism, solipsism, alcoholism, and Paul McCartney

They were shown eating beef steaks, and, in protest, the Chick-fil-a cows made billboards that said eat more chikin. So, really, it just boils down to just the cows thinking the album cover was controversial.

During the bed-in, John got too cuddly towards Yoko and she was pricked by the medallion. She got so mad, she retreated into a bag, pouted for two days straight and only came back out when Lennon assured her that he got rid of the MBE medallion.

Why did it take so long for Ringo to get knighted?

It took him an age to find a full knights costume, especially a helmet that covered his nose.

What did John say the Beatles did in a toilet in Buckingham Palace when receiving their MBE’s that was later debunked by the others in ‘The Beatles Anthology’?

He said they were so nervous they went to the toilet to read some poetry for relax. The other 3 debunked it by confirming that they really went to the toilet to roll up the biggest joint ever seen. When the Queen was informed about it she ordered to bring them a few drinks as well.

Who was Ringo’s favourite poet at that time?

What John Lennon quote induced hundreds of outraged Americans to burn their shoes in protest?

“I like sandals; the air circulates my feet and keeps the skin soft. I’ll wear shoes when it’s raining but if it’s dry its sandals”.

Shoemakers and confused Beatles fans in America read this is ‘Rubber Soles’ where it sat under the heading ‘Lennon Rejects Shoes’. The shoemakers were deeply concerned over the possibility of a declining number of shoe sales. To address the shoemakers bought all kinds of shoes and burned them to increase sales, meanwhile fans who agreed with John burned them to show solidarity. This led to the 300 metre high bonfire that burned for 2 years and could be seen from two states over.

Which Beatle took longest to try LSD and why?
