Jesus.
Incidentally, I’ve been wondering if maybe it’s a good idea tweaking this thread title a bit, to “Beatles Trivia – Even Easier! (wrong answers encouraged…)”, or something better but similar – just to make it less misleading, and possibly more enticing to newcomers. Just a thought for you mods…

Pete Best, he claimed the title of First Beatle four times, asking John, Paul, George and Ringo respectively, and then a fifth time from George Martin. He gave up the undertaking before trying a sixth time though.

Offline It wasn’t really the song that was terribly controversial, as much as it was the accompanying promotional video, in which three of four Beatles appeared completely, scandalously, barefoot throughout. (The holdout was George, who intended to participate but got cold feet at the last minute. Ultimately, he compromised by wearing socks with holes, through which he allowed both big toes to protrude salaciously.)

Offline They were shown eating beef steaks, and, in protest, the Chick-fil-a cows made billboards that said eat more chikin. So, really, it just boils down to just the cows thinking the album cover was controversial.

Shoemakers and confused Beatles fans in America read this is ‘Rubber Soles’ where it sat under the heading ‘Lennon Rejects Shoes’. The shoemakers were deeply concerned over the possibility of a declining number of shoe sales. To address the shoemakers bought all kinds of shoes and burned them to increase sales, meanwhile fans who agreed with John burned them to show solidarity. This led to the 300 metre high bonfire that burned for 2 years and could be seen from two states over.
