The song was “We wanna be your dogs”. It was rejected because all The Beatles had pets at that time. Plus the song was really really really really bad.

Why did The Beatless refuse to sign for Decca?

Magic Alex had been hired to design a new state of the art studio for Decca in 63. The Beatles hated it.

Actually, it was Mickey Mantle who struck out Paul. Not that it was much of a challenge.

Ringo Rottweiler was a anthropomorphised cartoon dog who sported a very familiar hairstyle, nose, Scouse accent, and assortment of splendid rings; and who stumbled his way upon (and stumblingly solved) mysteries on ABC-TV for 26 Saturday-morning episodes in 1968, evading goofy criminals and goofier policemen all along the way, hilarity usually ensuing. Additionally, the finale of every episode presented “Rotty” addressing his viewing audience, accompanying himself on drums while singing an original bubblegum-rock song that taught the kids a valuable life lesson, such as maintaining personal hygiene, staying away from drugs, and treating people of all races with equal respect. Ringo Starr himself provided the character’s speech and singing voice throughout the series’ entire run, which was abruptly canceled as a result of Ringo’s temporary loss of voice (after yelling about his blisters in studio.)

Why was Paul’s July 1965 goatee ultimately so short-lived?

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Folk wanted a living animal sacrifice as recompense for the Bigger than Jesus comments, misheard that Paul had a goat and, well, some folk were able to laugh about it a few years later but not many.

Why didn’t Ringo travel for the first handful of dates of the 1964 World Tour?

There is a deleted scene where Ringo traps himself in the bus, drives into a shark infested tank in a straightjacket, and escapes in 10 minutes, hence “Magical Mystery Tour

In 1969 JoJo had two choices:

Interstate 10

U.S. Route 66

Since “he knew it couldn’t last,” he took Route 66 (which has since been de-commissioned and replaced with Interstate 40). A prophet for his time if there ever was one!

Why did the Group and George Martin select the Hey Jude take where John curses under his breath for the single?

It was preferable to the take in which he cursed out loud.

Ringo is known for being a left-handed drummer playing a right-handed kit. Were his sticks right-handed or left-handed?

They were handed to him from the left as Ringo is very superstitious, tho no one dared ask if it was Ringo’s left or the helper’s left and Ringo could never remember.

What happened to the horse that was brought into the EMI studios for the horse noises in the song ‘Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite ‘? Why were the noises omitted from the final mix?

His tongue was as foul as his contributions to EMI studio carpets, and so he was summarily evicted and his sound effects erased, for fear of offending the tender sensibilities of any horses which might happen to listen to the record. It may seem a bit of an overreaction, as horses made up a very small percentage of the Beatles’ audience, but they were still sore from the whole record-burning fiasco.

Which Beatle discovered Mary Hopkin, and under what circumstances?

Pete Best. His superhuman cleanliness was often spoken of admirably by outsiders, to the jealousy of his grubbier other three bandmates; and that is the single main reason why they decided to fire him, in Pete’s opinion.

Which Beatles song featured the recorded sounds of electrified guitars boosted through an electronic amplifier?

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Blackbird is entirely distorted, making it the loudest song by The Beatles.

Which of the Beatles starred in the infamously terrible phillips game “Hotel Mario”?

George Harrison , because he needed the money. He was encouraged to invest his savings into the project in exchange for starring as Mario’s Guru. The game’s fate and negative reputation meant George lost even more money. Soon afterward, he returned Paul and Ringo’s phone calls and agreed to do the Anthology project.

Why was John not interviewed for the aforementioned Anthology project?
