The case reached a settlement, when the Beatles agreed to record an album of rutles covers entitled Rutter Soul. The John/Paul/George harmonies worked surprisingly well on their renditions of such rutles classics as “Fly Like a bird (Bird like a Fly)”, “Dustman’s Daughter”, “Pease Don’t Tell Me the Truth,” “Rishikesh Rachelle” and others, and the album ultimately went to #7 on the pop Top 10, momentarily propelling The Beatles out of obscurity. Overall, a fascinating footnote to the Rutles remarkable career.
Regarding the Beatles’ Shirelles cover: Why was George Martin anxious for the boys to replace every “Baby…” with “Honey…” and then retitle it “Honey, it’s You”?
He had a contract with the National Honey Producers Association to give them a jingle for their television and radio commercials promoting honey. But when the Beatles found this out, they didn’t want to be seen as sell-outs, and they nixed the change.

They invented the talking biscuit jar and sent it to George so no one could open it without him knowing. Paul, hearing it, turned the warning into the #1 single ‘Get Back (And Step Away From The Biscuits’). John forever took this as a dig at Yoko and George was pissed off that his track ‘Something (In The Biscuit Jar and It’s Mine)’ was ignored by the others.
During research for the Anthology series, a letter from Decca to Brian was discovered in his archives stating the true reason for their second rejection of the Beatles, this time in January 1967. What was the reason and why were the Beatles looking to leave Parlophone?

Their trousers were considered too tight by Parlophone higher-ups, so they decided to give Decca a second try. Unfortunately Decca turned them down, saying their trousers weren’t tight enough. In despair and confusion, the Beatles decided to stop wearing trousers altogether.
What was the fallout from this decision?

What secret code hides in the cover of their first LP “please freeze me” ?
Tiny hidden letters revealed that the album’s actual full title was “Please get us some trousers, we’re freezing!”; the stairwell where the cover’s photoshoot took place was particularly drafty that day.

3 Saville Row. He had built a supersonic paper aeroplane which he had said would hold groups of up to 8 which would fly on the breath exhaled whilst in the air. It never got Off The Ground

‘Beatle One After Ceased’ supposedly meaning the second Beatle who joined died, who was Paul.

Richard Starkey was the real name of Jack the Ripper, which, being a descendant, Ringo knew about and wanted to avoid the attention it may have brought him.

The titular “P.S…” was in fact John’s close friend (and onetime Quarrymen lead washboardist) Pete Shotton, with whom Paul had shared an intimate encounter back in 1959. The resulting secret “Peter ‘n Paul” pairup was extremely brief (nine seconds) and extremely passionless: After a single experimental ciggies-and-stale beer-flavoured kiss, the lads ultimately remembered that they neither one possessed any so-called “gay leanings”, thereafter continuing with their non-stop pursuit of women as a lifestyle.

John was always interested in dichotomy. After the Beatles’ last concert in Chicago in 1966, the tour bus drove on what they were told was the elevated Lake Shore Drive, often abbreviated as LSD. “Lake and shore?” thought Lennon. He immediately wrote a song about it. In interviews, he claimed that it was purely coincidental that he drew a queen high diamond flush while playing poker with an assistant named Lucy as the bus crossed over the Chicago River.

He played left wing on the second prison football team in the first semi-final and final of the 1980 Japan Prisons Cup. Paul set up the winning goal in the final having nutmegged an opposition forward and crossed for the head of #17 to score. This led to Paul’s release due to helping win the prison the cup for the first time in 37 years.
