Because he wanted to make "That One Song" absolutely perfect. Unfortunately after all that work and all those takes, he never was actually able to make it perfect, and thus it was never released.

Offline "Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand " was supposed to be a film where the Fabs headed back to Hamburg and got into miscellaneous predicaments from which they'd have to get themselves out of (With A Little Help From Their German Friends, of course). They ended up scrapping the entire project because they figured that the plot would confuse viewers, as little-to-none of their many fans around the globe would know about their stays there a few years earlier. The only two songs from the planned soundtrack album were then released as singles exclusive to Germany, and subsequently released on volume one of Past Masters .
