Q:What did Paul’s father do for a living?

 He was a fireman.

He worked mainly in the cotton trade, which ceased during the Second World War. He was a volunteer fireman during the war, while he was working at Napier’s Engineering Works.

I have to admit to checking sources when I saw “fireman” and I thought “cotton trade”, but half-remembered something about “fireman” during the war. That’s how I came up with the wartime bit. That wasn’t on the tip of my tongue.

5. Although the main 4 Beatles are on twice technically you only have John, Paul, George, Ringo and Stu.

What are the two things the Beatles say money cant buy?

I was going for technically, but you covered your bases.

“Love” (from the obvious) and “Fun” (is the one thing that money can’t – from She’s Leaving Home ).

Which actor appeared in A Hard Day’s Night Help ! and Magical Mystery Tour ?

What instrument did Stuart Sutcliffle play while in The Beatles?

Bass Guitar, unless you’re talking about the “brand”, who knows what. If my answer is right, anyone could ask a question instead of me.

I’m willing to.

Who was painted out of the SPLHCB cover because he wanted to be paid? (Bonus points if you can get this correct without actually looking at SPLHCB .)

Haha, how would looking at it help us if he was painted out? :) Leo Gorcey.

Which Beatles recording features Ringo alone?

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Oh. Right. Why am I so stupid sometimes?

Which Beatles recording features Ringo alone?

Good Night , if you mean he’s the only Beatle who is on the song.

What was the first Beatles recording to feature only one Beatle, and who was that Beatle?

Depends on the wording of the question. By “feature only one beatle” do you mean thats it, no one else, just that Beatle, or that beatle along with outside musicians?

If the first then probably Paul’s Wild Honey Pie going by album order, if the latter than Yesterday & Paul.

Yeah im being annoying – and probably wrong.

Which Beatle released the first official solo Beatle album and what was it?

I was looking for Yesterday & Paul, so you’re correct. As for your question… is it George with the Wonderwall soundtrack?

It was an ad-lib during the session for I Will (along with Step Inside Love, Los Paranoius, and The Way You Look Tonight). Was listening to them just yesterday.

Which two of John’s suggestions for the cover of Sgt. Pepper were rejected (though one did make the photo session)?
