A while ago in the derail thread, there was a game of Hangman. It was real fun but it fizzled out. I think it could be a good Beatles game.
I’ll start with something (I hope is) easy.

GAME RULES
For the person running the round of the game:
You can do both Beatles and solo puzzles. Puzzles can be lyrics, names, phrases, or words that are Beatles or solo related.
To make the blanks easy to read, put a space between each blank. Put a / between words. For example, _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ / _ _ _
The puzzle must contain at least 5 consonants.
When responding to a letter, the person running that round copies the entire puzzle and either puts the letter in the puzzle or lists it with the “no” letters. Using the puzzle above, a proper response would look like this:
T _ E / B E _ T _ E S / _ R E / F _ B
No: K J N
Add any punctuation marks (such as an apostrophe) after the letters before and after it have been guessed.
Give the winner of the round an @ so they will know to post the next puzzle.
You can post a picture of the hangman but that is not required.
You are allowed to give hints for your word.
For those guessing letters for a round:
After you guess a letter, wait until the person running the puzzle round lets you know if the letter is or isn’t in the puzzle.
Only make two guesses in a row if no one else has posted a guess for 6 hours (and your previous guess has been added to the puzzle as correct or incorrect).
To use a vowel, five non-vowels must be guessed correctly. (You can still guess the word at this stage.) Y is considered a consonant.
It is also better to guess letters rather than words unless you think you are ready to solve the puzzle.

Offline I’m going to be the party bore. Isn’t this the kind of game Joe wants to avoid as there will numerous posts of one letter as people try to guess the word/name/song title/location?
Also it would be most fitting if the “victim” was Pete Best as he was hung out to dry (in some people’s eyes at least).

Edit: also, for the love of Epstein, please ensure that the games involve a degree of skill! The last-letter game is an example of something we should probably avoid, where it goes on for page after page but doesn’t really add anything.
This game requires a degree of skill. You guess letters and try to figure out which Beatles or Solo Beatles related thing the word is. There is a goal so each post adds something and builds of each other for the duration of the round like The “Name that picture thread” though we are guessing a word not a picture and there are numerous posts with a song title to guess the song the picture represents.

If that is a concern, guesses can be submitted by posting something like “Is there a Z?”, instead of just posting Z.
Why don’t you do it that way until @Joe can advise if this is OK? My two cents feels this might be a cool game, but I don’t want to authorize anything that can hurt the Forum.
