Jack Paar Show

(Showed newsclips of Beatles prior to Ed Sullivan)

BTW, thanks to @Little Piggy Dragonguy for the save on G preventing controversy.

Another H is Hullabaloo.  They showed Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out promo clips and fooled this naive 10 year old  to thinking it was a live appearance.

Arguably, this one may be a stretch.

KNBC News.  They may have showed newsreel footage or excerpts of a press conference in advance of the Hollywood Bowl concert or other LA appearance.

If not KNBC specifically, I'm sure there was another TV station west of the Mississsippi that did a story about the Beatles at one point or another.

OK, I got K out of the way.  Can you think of an L?

It has to be a show in the 1960s while the Beatles were still together.   Otherwise, I would have said LaVerne & Shirley for L.  In later episodes, they have a Beatle poster on their wall.

How about this?

O - Our World

I have no Q shows.    Quincy M. E. wasn't working yet.  None of them were Queen For A Day (Well maybe Brian E.).  Did Sam Beckett ever inhabit the body of a Beatle during Quantum Leap?  'Fraid not.

So feel free to continue on to R.  Now is the time to use one said earlier. Or do you have another one?

We already used Ed Sullivan in E that is no longer eligible.  But I can think of two other S shows.  Can you?

This may be debatable but:

U - Upbeat

Do you remember this teen/dance show from the late 60s?  If the Beatles did not appear, many other great stars did.  Technically, when this was a local show in Cleveland under another name, the Beatles were interviewed at least.

For the sake of completeness, my two S shows were:

1. Shindig.  Like Hullabaloo, they also tried to pass off promo clips as a live performance.
2. Smothers Brothers.  They showed the Hey Jude /Revolution promo clips.

The rest of the alphabet might be tough (except maybe W).  Feel free to bend the rules to get this over with.

People and Places. Its a proper noun for double points.

Edit: This gives an idea for a board game: Beatles Scategories.

One day, a tape-op got a tape on backwards, he went to play it, and it was all "Neeeradno-undowarrroom" and it was "Wow! Sounds Indian!"

My W might have been Where The Action Is.  Not sure whether they might have appeared on an indirect basis.  This show would have certainly worked for Paul Revere and the Raiders.

We could have also repeated what we did in K and pick a news show east of the Mississippi.  I know my local WGN news did a story on them when they did a Chicago concert and even showed them at the concert (albeit in poor quality).

Tell Me Y.  I have a joke answer if we run dry.

Now I gotta check Cinemax PPV for Necko's show.
