My 11 year old is really taking an interest in Beatles music right now.  We play CD’s in the car and he guesses who is singing lead on each song.  He’s getting pretty good, although he thinks Paul is pretty sneaky and can make his voice sound different!! lol  He told me yesterday his favourite Beatle is John :)

Aww it’s really cute that you can pass your love of a band, or them as individuals, down to your children. So sweet! heart

Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

That’s fantastic, Trud. I admit I’m a little envious, as my parents were completely chagrined by the whole Beatles thing.

Trud, I hope he will always look back fondly on these car rides and guessing games with mom.

I so used to play that game as well! But when you’ve done it a few times you know who it is. he has a point about Paul though, its pretty amazing that its the same guy singing Helter Skelter as I Will .

Yes!  It’s pretty fun right now, as he is just learning.  And I have to agree bikelock28, Paul has an amazing range!

I went to a health clinic today to see what I could about this cold/sinus infection I’m still fighting. I had a first year intern (supervised by a doctor) looking after me. As she asked me how I got the cold and how long I’ve had it, I was reluctant to reveal the origins. But she was so thorough in her questioning, I finally had to admit I got it traveling to SF – where it turns out she’s from – during Outside Lands. Her eyes lit up and she asked me who was playing. I told her I went to see Paul, and she put her hand over her heart and swooned. “Totally worth it!” she declared. “This cold was totally worth it!” We laughed as I agreed.

Has to be the first time a medical professional deemed an illness of mine worth the suffering. :-D

I was watching this 100 most sexiest artists or something like that on mtv and at one point they had a special section for older rockstars. Paul was mentioned which was hilarious

I would have been a crime if they hadn’t mentioned him. The Paul girls on here would have had to band together and write a letter of protest.

Couldn’t think of where else to put this – a sweet story about a woman and her son bonding over The Beatles.

That was so sweet parlance! I’ve had moments like that with my niece (she’s 7).  A few weeks ago we stayed up til about 2 in the morning watching Beatles clips on youtube. She was asking all sorts of questions and wanted to know everything about them. She’s really smart for her age so we even discussed John’s death. It was sad to see the look on her little face but she accepted everything I told her as only kids can! It’s lovely introducing children to the Beatles. Sometimes I wish I could go back and discover them again for the first time!

I had a bit of a bittersweet Beatles moment the other day. I was in L.A. (just got back) and while i was there i went to a record store called The Record Parlore. I bought a first pressing of Meet the Beatles, Rubber Soul (Apple labels and still in the original rapping) and Sgt. Peppers. Later when i examined the inside of the Sgt. Pepper sleeve more closely, i noticed the original cutout sheet was still inside a-hard-days-night-john-1  However when i took it out i noticed that someone had cut out the badge blue-meanie Either way it was pretty cool that it was still in there.

I was on the 2nd floor of the library weeding books. As I picked up the book “Suicide in the Young” to evaluate it to see if it needed to be weeded,

“Love can be deep inside
Love can be suicide”

from “That Means a Lot to Me” Anthology 2 Disc 1 played on my mp3 player.

I was walking in the hall of my High school yesterday and three girls walking in front of me were like “I’m Paul McCartney ” “No, I’m Paul McCartney !” “No, I’m Paul McCartney
