What's wrong with Peter Sellers? He was a huge influence on all of The Beatles. They are incredibly stupid to skip John Lennon , but Peter Sellers is definately worth mentioning.

I lost my iPod and was very upset. My family and I searched all over the place- the restaurant where I had last had it, every corner of the house- but to no avail. Finally, I started looking in the car (for the third time) and began to sing “A Day In The Life “. Before I was done with one verse, I found my iPod in the trunk.

I know!! There was a special on CNN about John's dead and MC reasons to kill him and I thought “No.. this is too sick” and I started zapping and on VH1 they had another special about John's dead. I was like “Oh come on… 2 shows about the Beatles and they have to talk about that??”

It really should be more about his legacy. I understand that the news is news, but I have to agree with Yoko now, why the hell give this man any sort of recognition? It just leads to trying to figure out why this happened, and what if, and tons of sadness, because it was such a senseless death. He can be the real life equivalent of Harry Potter's you-know-who for all I care. I hope he never gets out of jail.

I agree with you Starwisher. I mean, it's not that I hate the guy but it's giving him what he wanted : Fame.

I read the news today (oh boy) and I saw the newspaper folded, and just in the middle of it, a picture of Paul with the caption “Paul”. I took the news and unfolded it and the complete caption said “Paul asks India a Non-Meat Day”. They didn't write McCartney.
My first thought “Man, this looks like a Beatlesbible forum headline topic”.

This past Saturday, while listening to Anthology 1 , I went to the kithcen to see if there were any beers in the fridge. As I opened the door, I saw and heard Three Cool Cats.

When my mom was playing SingStar today, which if you don't know is a video game where you sing and get points based on how well you hit the notes, she was trying to get me to play, and after a little while I decided to play one song. I hit random and out of about 200 songs or so that she has on there, I got the only song she has by any Beatle, Band On The Run . All I could think was that the game must know that I was playing.

Well, Peter Sellers didn't have the stature of John, certainly. But he was still a comedic genius nonetheless, not to mention friends with George and Ringo! And of course our lads all loved the Goons. (If you ever get the chance to see The Magic Christian, do so!)
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

(Oh, looks like Skye already gave Sellers his props upthread. Should've refreshed the screen…)

So the Magic Christian is worth watching? The last Sellers movie I've seen is After the Fox (very funny!), but I've been hesitant to see this one. I guess I don't want it to be bad – I like Ringo and Sellers to much.
My Beatley Moment: I decided to listen to Abbey Road , in order, on the way home from work. The End had just finished as I turned onto my street, and I thought, “Eh, close enough,”. I turned on to my cul de sac, and Her Majesty started! I had forgotten it was there (it rarely comes up in shuffle), and I got to hear it in it's natural state. It was a fun little surprise.

It's got Ringo Starr , Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan for a coupla minutes and was partly written by Graham Chapman and John Cleese – how can it lose?!
Well, ok, it's a bit spotty. But many scenes are a scream. Here's a good one:
