We are in Munich right now for Oktoberfest! Obviously we’re in a hotel and have the telli on while getting ready for the Wiesn. And what am I seeing during a commercial break: A Milka chocolate commercial has Real Love as song
we never watch actual tv at home so this 8 months old commercial wasn’t known by me until today

Beatley moment on a discord server today when someone posted pix of their recent visit to the Liverpool Beatle Museum and they have an apparent Rocky just hanging on the wall there. Couldn’t be the real Rocky, that’s a bit odd isn’t it? They said there was no indication either way. There were the Sgt Pepper suits in a case so you’d think a psychedelic guitar would be in one. Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

@ewe2, I’d say it is one of the approximately 100 reproductions.

Snippet of the article
After George passed, Rocky fell into the care of hi estate. Harrison’s son Dhani now looks after the veteran guitar, as well as the rest of his father’s collection. As it happens, Dhani was gracious enough to lend out the original to Fender a few years ago.
At their renowned Custom Shop, Fender were able to examine every inch of the instrument, in order to replicate its style, spirit, and most importantly, sound.
The result was a line of around 100 stunning clones.

I have some random music station on the TV as I sort out Beatles music files and the 2019 ‘Here Comes The Sun ‘ promo has come on. Didn’t think the TV music channels played The Beatles for whatever reason – the only one I’ve seen in years has been ‘Taxman ‘ on some rock music thru the years chart after ‘Revolver ‘ was deluxed.
Ringo is now drumming with T-Rex on ‘Children Of The Revolution ‘.
Always cool seeing Beatles.

I’m standing in line to vote (i’ve been here for 65 minutes so far…should be voting in about 30 minutes). The 2nd person behind me got a phone call, and I recognized the song in just a few notes – Birthday .
I talked with him for a moment and told him about this website.

I remeber a few years ago (before I was a Beatles fan) I would go to Math tutoring. The tutoring was in a big building with a bunch of desks and chairs that you would sit and do math (duh). There was a shelf near the back of the building and on that shelf was a picture of the Sgt. Pepper album cover. I would purposely sit in the back near the shelf to look at the album cover. Younger me was just so amzed with those “Weirdo Hippies” I saw on the album cover. I sometimes would stare so long the math tutors would have to come over and tell me to go back to doing math.Sadly I associate Math and Sgt. Peppers because of that. I always think I was destined to become a Beatles fan, memories like this make me belive that more.

They were playing Let ‘Em In at Walmart this evening. I was singing along and passed another lady singing along too. We smiled at each other.

This happened a couple weeks ago, but I thought I’d share:
As I have only been a Beatles fan for a bit less than a year, I have not heard many Beatles songs in public yet. I have heard 0 Beatles songs, 1 George song (What Is Life ), 1 Paul song (Silly Love Songs), and 0 John songs. However, the other day, I heard a song from a Ringo album. Not one of the famous ’70s ones either. It was one of the songs from Give More Love (2017) in a Starbucks. I cannot remember for the life of me which song, but I was just floored. I was so caught off guard, one of the people there must be a big Ringo fan 🙂

Come Together came on again at work, and someone said how it was rubbish because the lyrics didn’t make any sense. I then explained John’s love of nonsense language and Alice in Wonderland. I made sure they understood!

At least they aren’t one of those annoying people who insist that each of its stanzas is really all about one of the four Beatles, based entirely on the fact that one verse mentions “walrus” and “Ono” and “bag”
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Holy crap. I went back to that same Starbucks and this time I heard Walk With You, the duet between Ringo and Paul! I guess my suspicions were correct, someone there IS a huge Ringo fan!

I was at the Barber watching my Mom get a hair cut. Twist And Shout came on the radio and I said “Hey it’s Twist And Shout !” and the lady cutting moms hair looked at me surprised. It sparked a conversion about music in general. I hear Beatles songs a lot at that Salon? Barder shop?? One time I heard Paperback writer in there.
