This happened a while ago (on George’s birthday, to be exact), but I heard an instrumental version of Here Comes The Sun in the school library. Coincidence*? I think not.
*
It probably was.

1) Today at tech (for my school musical), I had a long conversation with my theater director about Paul’s bass playing.
2) At my guitar lessons, my teacher asked what Paul’s wife’s name was (he was teaching me “Something ” and we were watching the music video) and I then to proceeded to give him every single little detail about Linda that I knew and then informed him that my guitar was named after her. And then we talked about the whole George-Pattie-Eric Clapton dynamic.

Don’t worry, bug, I filled him in on Nancy, too, and all the tea with “the second one”

The Antiques Roadshow just started with an original Abbey Road street sign and a jacket worn on stage by Beatle Paul at the Royal Albert Hall. The street sign was valued at £6,000-10,000, while the jacket was £15,000-20,000.

The Antiques Roadshow just ended with a fretless Bartlett of California guitar given away to a session musician by George during a session for Handmade Films. The guitar was originally owned by John. Incredibly rare guitar, and a perfect provenance. It was valued at £3-4 hundred thousand.

1) A couple of weeks ago I dubbed my friend’s boyfriend “Emo Ringo.” At first, it started as an inside joke between us and then it escalated to the point where everyone in our friend group refers to him as “Emo Ringo.” I’m quite proud of myself for making the moniker popular; however, I don’t think the boyfriend himself knows about it, but my friend says that he wouldn’t be offended (they are both avid Beatles fans )
2) I got “Baby You’re A Rich Man ” stuck in my friend’s head today. She scolded me because I had already gotten “Hello, Goodbye ” stuck in her head the other day
3) At Starbucks, while I was ordering my drink, the girl behind me was talking about John Lennon and after I ordered I quickly spun around and said “I love John!” and then she said “Well, that makes one of us” and went on a spiel about how terrible she thinks Lennon is and then I went on a spiel defending him before returning back to my friends with my mango dragonfruit drink. The girl and I ended up agreeing to disagree….
The fact that the Beatles are so fervently displayed in my daily life excites me and concerns me all at the same time…..
@TangerineTrees I just noticed that you have a Dickenson quote in your signature! I absolutely love Dickenson’s poetry and I just had to point that out hehe…..hopefully I don’t derail the thread too much but I just gotta say that “Memorials” is my favorite.

I love love love seeing the footprint they left on… everything. I was at a dance party Saturday Night, randomly looked up while grooving, and saw a MASSIVE mural of John looking directly at me through the club window. Also see echoes of their fashion everywhere, in everyone. Have also been having dreams where John and I hang out in the Dakota! Last night he told me how wonderful he thought the finalized “Free As A Bird ” is!
They really really had magic going through them… even though they were “…just four guys”!!!!

I snuck in a John quote today. Someone was worried about the coronavirus. I said “it will all be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”

She’s my favorite poet too. I love her use of rhythm and dashes, along with her metaphors.
Sorry for derailing. I promise to from now on.

A couple of moments. The other day, I was in my local bookstore, and they started playing Here, There And Everywhere . And this evening, while I was driving with a friend and her mom on the way back from a play, they were playing George’s Give Me Love (Give Me Peace One Earth) on the radio. Life has been feeling Beatley lately–but I could always use some more

My sister used to be one of those exemplary siblings, but she has since fallen out of love with the Beatles and I feel like I’ve failed as a parent.
