I met a girl today who kinda resembles Linda McCartney, or Linda Eastman.  One of the two.  I always get them mixed up.

I enjoyed the Six Pence Pub in Savannah, Georgia, so much that I bought one of their t-shirts. I just wore it this past weekend.

Cool! It's a great restaurant. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif The Blowing Rock one has a painting of the Savannah location on the wall. I would like to go to Savannah and see it for myself. a-hard-days-night-george-9

Went out for breakfast this morning to a place that offers live music in the evenings; and found this on the wall...

https://ibb.co/8KSXJtF

Mural also featured Zappa, Lemmy (from Motorhead) and (I think it was) Carlos Santana. And absolutely nobody else.

Someone said 'What were you gonna do when it's all finished,' and I said 'I don't know but it'd be good fun being a DJ.' And since then I've become a DJ, only by word of mouth, you know. SO any minute now you'll read, 'Ringo leaves to become a DJ' but it's not true. - Ringo Starr

There's a super talented and amazing artist-in-residence at my school, and he has this alarm system that plays the intro to a song when someone walks into his studio. Today it was Day Tripper

That’s so cool. I’m actually going to edit a Beatles ringtone for my phone and I need to decide what song I’m going to choose.

So I'm on holiday in a fairly rural part of Victoria, and my dad and I go into a pub for dinner (a craft brewery, to be fair) and we turn around and stare gobsmacked at each other as we walked into the middle of Martha My Dear ...

And then I'm So Tired came on. Then Blackbird ... and so the White Album went on until it was unceremoniously turned off in the middle of EGSTHEMAMM for the band to start playing some fairly bland blues tunes...

I've been known to slip the house band some money with the name of a Beatles song wrapped around it (using the little paper wrapper that comes around the silverware). ahdn_john_08_gifa-hard-days-night-john-1paul-mccartney-thumb_gifa-hard-days-night-george-10ahdn_ringo_09

That's amazing. Right now my ringtone (which I never use anyway because a) my phone is always on silent and b) people don't call me anyway, they usually texta-hard-days-night-paul-10) is 'Custard Pie' by Led Zeppelin but I've gotta try Hey Bulldog . ahdn_john_08_gif

I’ve made the beginning of Good Morning Good Morning my iPhone alarm, which always goes off at 6am. I have the intro of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds as my text alert. For my ringtone I’m thinking the beginning of the I Want You (She’s So Heavy) instrumental.

The beginning of Paul's Dance 'Til We're High makes a great ringtone.

I can't have just one song be my wake up alarm song. Also, I have to have multiple ones. And, I can't know which one I'm picking that night to play the next morning. If I play the same one each day, my brain learns to sleep through it. And if I know which one is coming, I play the song all night in my head and keep thinking that it's time to get up.

I had kind of a beatley moment yesterday when my wife and kids were about to go visiting my wife's parents (who live just a block away from ours). I was not going so
as they were about to leave, my son (almost 3 years old) was not very sure about what to do: stay home with dad, or go with mom.
We explained to him that he could stay if he wanted to and mommy would return later and everything would be ok, or he could leave with mommy and then return later and daddy would be right there and everything would be ok too.
He was struggling, and we could see it. Finally decided to stay with daddy (:D) but as soon as his mom started closing the door he ran crying towards her.
He, finally, left with his mom only after giving daddy a huge hug and a long, long kiss n_n
It was kinda tender and heartbreaking all at once. Reminded me of little John deciding to stay with Alfred or going with Julia .

And your son wasn't even having to make a permanent decision, but just for the day. Imagine how much harder it must've been for John. a-hard-days-night-paul-10

I recently started doing an introductory coding course for fun (if ten minutes a day counts), and this was how one of the lessons started.
