I recently went to see my doctor,as I had a ringing in my ears and I thought it was tinnitus. I said to him "I play the Beatles through my headphones, I've obviously played it too loud". He said that he was a big Beatles fan too, and we had a little chat about the band, favourite albums etc. As I left,I shook his hand, thanked him, and said "I'll have to start calling you Doctor Robert from now on". He just looked at me blankly, and clearly didn't have a clue what I was talking about. Clearly he's not that big a Beatles fan . I didn't have tinnitus, but I was playing the boys too loudly

Maybe he did understand and was confused because he thought you meant he was gonna drug you ?

In my modern history class we studied the music and counterculture of the 1960s, and groups did presentations on The Beatles, The Stones, The Who and The Kinks. I could probably have done detailed presentations on each of them myself, but I chose The Beatles. The information the other groups presented made it sound like the Beatles were a safe, smiley pop band so I made sure to include all about Hamburg through to Sgt Pepper 's and the LSD. My teacher had no idea I liked them so much and now we regularly chat about them.

I had a similar project in 60s culture, but my teacher said “Do not talk specially about the Beatles,” as I related every paper of the year to the fab four up to this project.

Back in the early 80's, I was bassist in a band fronted by a vocalist significantly older than the rest of us. Now, admittedly, he was no George Michael but boy did he have a story or three to tell. Here is one i remember fondly:
Whilst working on the production line in a denim factory one sunny day in 1968, an announcement suddenly came over the loudspeaker demanding that everyone stop and down all tools. The reason for this was obvious, the Beatles had just released a new single and it was about to get its first airplay.
I can just picture the faces of possibly thousands of workers up and down the country as they heard Hey Jude for the very first time.

While driving to OKC today, I saw a vehicle with the license plate "ABBY RD". I gave out a total Beatlemaniac scream , but I kept both hands on the wheel. Ahhh Mom got excited too.

I was at the grocery store in the freezer section, and there was a sign that said "Meatless" in front of the vegetarian stuff or whatever, and I said "It's not the Beatles, it's the Meatless!"

At the DMV, my number is B331, and I immediately thought of Maxwells Silver Hammer.

I was shopping in town the other day. I went into HMV,and while I was walking round the shop, Woman by John Lennon came over the speakers. A German lady stopped me, and asked if I knew the name of the song,as it sounded familiar. I was only too happy to help

That reminds me of the time I had an Algebra substitute who loved the Beatles, and we bonded over how both of our pets were named after Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds .
Even though I named my cat before I became a Beatley person, that's officially what she was named after now.

I talked with someone and discovered they're a mega Beatles fan. They even used to go on geocities and memorized Beatles quotes.

On that same album we get a Lennon collab on Fame. One of the most underrated albums of the 70s. The title track is just amazing.

Just listened to the whole album. It was one I didn't really know that well, but I fully love it now.

I was watching the episode of Law and Order the other day that is about a data harvesting company that sold information to someone who then killed his psychotherapist.
Jack McCoy's assistant read off the information she found out about Jack. He likes to listen to The Beatles and jazz fusion.
I saw that episode before May 26, 2013. The Beatles reference went right over my head. Now I catch those Beatley moments.
