A few days ago my teacher put on the White Album during class! a-hard-days-night-george-9

And, today in a different class another teacher popped in the door and said “Peace and love”! a-hard-days-night-ringo-10

So, why are teachers playing music? Is it during class while you are working on math problems or something? Are they playing it on a radio or streaming it on a computer or playing it on their cell phone?

My teacher played it during silent reading and at lunch (I had to work on something). It seemed she was playing it on CD with a stereo system of sorts.

Usually they’re playing it kinda quiet, and usually while we’re working on a worksheet. I’m not too sure about how they play it, but usually it’s either a) being streamed on a computer or b) some random radio station.

It would piss me off if teachers were playing music and stuff when I was reading- I don’t need utter quiet to work or anything (my aunt is amazed that I was working on a college project with the tv on and my entire family talking) but in classrooms where everyone is talking all the time it’s nice to have that 15 to 20 minutes to just chill in silence for a bit rather than have sound forced on you.

I can agree with that.  I listen to music while working on homework all the time, but when I read, it needs to be quiet.

I was watching a show on tv, and they found and bought a tangerine ’58 Gretsch 6120. They mentioned George as a famous player of Gretsch guitars. a-hard-days-night-george-9

We went to a shop that sells antiques and various different collectables today, and on one of the shelves was a vintage Beatles cup. It was too much for my budget, so I had to pass on it. Then, I found a cute little Yellow Submarine Christmas ornament that looked like this:

url.jpg

I took that one home. It’ll be a nice addition to my tree; it lacks Beatles-y-ness at the moment. Also, the lunchbox opens: adorable!a-hard-days-night-george-9

Ooo, that’s right. I’m not as familiar with the US album release years, so I didn’t instantly catch that. I’ll make sure to correct her.

I would’ve done the same thing.  Such a beautiful song.  Bonus: it would hold you up for less than two minutes.

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

The final Jeopardy question tonight was what Beatles song with Ringo singing lead got to No 2 on the charts, or something like that. Obviously the answer is “Yellow Submarine “. One guy put “Hey Jude paul-mccartney-facepalm_gif, one girl put “Get Back paul-mccartney, and the other girl put “Yellow Submarine a-hard-days-night-ringo-15
