Yesterday , I was outside, getting a breath of fresh air. The sun was shining quite strongly and it was rather nice. To no one in particular, I said, "It's getting better," and then I laughed my head off, because I'd just remembered that that was the original context for the phrase which came to be the song. I mean, it was a conscious reference to the song, but usually the phrase is applied to things like life and fab forums, not the weather, so it was an interesting coincidence.

Less of a moment, more of a year or so... but my best friend has become a crazy-obsessed-all-Beatles-all-the-time-(mostly) fan. So woo-hoo for that! 
Also, I was watching an episode of Saturday Night Live from a few years ago, and they made three (I think) Beatles references, except I only remember one (Japanese daredevil Yolo Ono 
).

A true Beatley moment...posting here while occasionally glancing at "The Thomas Crown Affair" on the old movie channel and just moments ago I see a truck with "EGG MAN" painted on the back.
Movie was from 1968, meaning there's a slim chance it was being filmed EXACTLY when the boys were working on "I Am The Walrus
