Just wandered across this blog by Aaron Krerowiz which analyses Beatles songs. Many of the song entries include the chords as well as detailing how the mixes of the albums are laid out – see Can’t Buy Me Love for an example. Also hidden in amongst song entries are pdf files documenting certain aspects of Beatles songs – one example is this middle-8 chart for the tracks up to and including the White Album .

So many websites, so little time…

By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

That’s what bootlegs are for. Apple Core is very selfish.

Apple is useless. Surprised we havent gotten an official Beatles World Cup football rattle that plays Yellow Submarine when you shake it (Brazil play in yellow which justifies the song selection). Yours for just £325.20 + p&p (price worked out by 32 teams, Brazil having won it 5 times and it being the 20th World Cup).

There is a new Beatles website (well its been going since November 2013 but it was new to me last week) called Something About The Beatles. There you can download podcasts featuring authors Richard Buskin (Beatles 101: The Need To Know Guide, Complete Idiots Guide) and Robert Rodriguez (Revolver : How The Beatles Reimagined Rock ‘N’ Roll ) discussing all things Beatles, at times joined by special guests like Mark Lewinsohn and Allan Kozinn. There are six episodes available to download so far and new ones will be added, said to be roughly every two weeks.

Have heard half of the pilot episode so far and its well worth listening to, showing a lot of promise.

Exactly how I feel. It is absolute selfishness because they know they make a lot of money. Sod off, Apple Core!

Something About the Beatles is fantastic. Really good podcasts.  I actually just recently heard about it as well.  Fab4Free4All, another great podcast, had Buskin on for extended interview.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 Totally with you @…ontherun with Something About The Beatles. I’m slowly catching up with the archives as i only recently found out about it but very interesting discussions and laid back. I’m a Fab4Free4All devotee as well.

Onboard with the Something About The Beatles podcast.  I’ve got a number of Beatles-centric podcast subscriptions lined up, but this one is all I’m listening to right now.  I like the Brit vs Yank perspective they bring.  And they’re pretty knowledgeable.

Fab! *adds to rss feed*, SATB starts with a bang too!

I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

The SATB podcast is great but the opening song is dire.

Yeah its pretty crass and west coast! I just listened to the Beatles as Instrumentalists episode, so glad they agree with me a-hard-days-night-george-9 I will have to alter my Ringo treatise, I should have realized that’s his air-filling overdub in Dear Prudence .

Its a shame that the Beatles songs have been cut down as in the first few shows they would be played the whole way thru giving the podcast a different experience.

They’re pretty big for podcasts as it is, the one I just listened to is 140mb which is huge.
