Seriously doubt God is sitting with a list of acceptable songs and another of unacceptable..
It’s true. It just comes down to what you feel is good or bad to listen to.

Yip. We are sinful people. Blink wrong and you’ll be a statue – or pillar of salt and pepper (yours for only £186.23 remember).

To hell with following the rules of life, we are free people and are free to believe what we want, nobody wants to end up like Ned Flanders, a Christian so devout that he has brainwashed his own children into agreeing with everything god and therefore he says, imagine having a father who thinks Mickey Mouse is inappropriate because he is the spawn of Satan because he talks or a father who openly states that everyone should hate gay people after shaking hands with a catholic priest.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

Jesus was very hard on the very strict religious types who insisted on everyone following rules that really didn’t matter. It’s not about following rules, it’s where your heart is.

So it begins…
My first Beatles album arrived today! AHDN (2014) is in the house, sadly, my new turntable which should have arrived yesterday is still with the b****y couriers. Both AR (2012) and Mono Masters (2014) are on the way and my brother is buying either SPLHCB or With the Beatles (both 2014) as a thank you for some help I gave him over recent months.
What a lovely feeling, holding an LP again after all these years, even if I can’t play it. LOL

Why do you have to buy new records and a new turntable, I mean I understand if you got rid of all of your records and your old turntable, but getting used Beatles records and a used vintage turntable would be cheaper and just as good if not better.

I don’t ‘have’ to buy new records or turntable, but the turntable goes nicely with my existing amp and speakers and because I want to. If I find that the 2014 pressings are nothing special, then I shall look for older copies of the remaining albums, providing the price and condition is right. My brother has a mix of old and new and believes the newer Mono pressings are better and that’s good enough for me!

I would have to agree with your brother, @HappyHaggis, the 2014 analogue mono remasters are magnificent, probably the best set of remasters up to that time. I know many people here who got the 2014, and were totally knocked out by it.
You can read the forum conversation about it here (from questions about whether it was happening through to its release and reception by the forum)…

Not so strange at all, @Dark Overlord.
There were often complaints about the ability of the technology and, sometimes, staff to carry across the sound of the master tape across onto the master disc when it was cut. It is no secret that Paul was often dissatisfied with how his bass came through, not feeling that British record cutters got anywhere near their US counterpoints until around 1966.
There is a reason that the most famous British record cutter, George “Porky” Peckham, a longtime acquaintance from Liverpool, who had been in the Fourmost, was first employed by Apple. The man, and his “Porky Prime Cuts”, went on to become a legend…
These are the original mono mixes, just cut with all the advances in cutting technology and audio reproduction taken into the account, and sounding far closer to the original master tapes than the original master discs were technically capable of doing so.

Well I do really like Paul’s bass playing skills, especially once he got his Rickenbacker, I wish I could think up soulful basslines like Nowhere Man , Think For Yourself , Taxman , If I Needed Someone , Got To Get You Into My Life , With A Little Help From My Friends , Hey Bulldog , Dear Prudence , Something , and Oh Darling, sure wish they popped out as well as they should’ve, especially back in the day.

At last my turntable arrived and I’ve had the chance to listen to AHDN and to my untrained ear, it sounds great, better than the high res flac version and CD that I own. Of course that could just be the placebo effect, but my wife, who is not really a fan and therefore more likely to be impartial, thinks so too. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter I guess, as I’m a happy bunny. Lol
Mono Masters and With the Beatles arrived today, so there’ll be a long session this evening.

Great but two thing I noticed:
1. They’re Faul solo albums, not Paul solo albums.
2. Why do you have 2 copies of Meet The Beatles and 3 of The Beatles.

1. I suppose you’re right.
2. I explained the 2 Meet The Beatles last time I updated my collection. One was Father Shears Campbell’s and is an Apple reissue, and the other I got from @Evangeline and is a 1966 Capitol issue(it was also owned by a radio station). As for the 3 White Albums, that’s the one album that I am gonna collect lots of different pressings of.
Why didn’t you point out my other doubles? Like my two copies Venus And Mars , No More Lonely Nights 45, and Let It Be 45?
