Yes I know what you're thinking:
"What threads haven't been made that stick a seemingly random word behind 'Beatles'!?"
While it is a weird thread title it's interesting to think about... Stay with me.
As you may or may not know, smell and memory are very closely related, and therefore certain smells can trigger certain memories or feelings. I'm sure this happens to everyone occasionally, if not frequently.
The purpose of this thread (as I'm sure you expect by now) is to share any smells that remind you of The Beatles in some way or for any reason, and investigate those that create certain memories but you can't remember why.
"Why does the smell of fresh lemons remind me of Paul's acting in AHDN ?"
You get the idea!
Now I will share what brought this to my mind. I've noticed, quite a bit actually, that a certain smell I can't describe makes me think of when I was really beginning to get into The Beatles. A short while before I joined the forum, when I started buying the remastered vinyl (my transition from casual fan to Beatlefreak), there must have been a certain smell around. Whenever I smell that, or something similar, it reminds me of opening Abbey Road from the packaging in the mail and the time leading up to that when I was listening to snippets of all the songs to decide which album to buy first on vinyl.
Today, the smell of some girl's perfume made me think of The Beatles, and that particular moment. Don't know why exactly.
I just think this is an interesting phenomenon and want to see if anyone else experiences it as well.
So, what smells make you think of The Beatles?

I don't really have a smell. If you wanna create a smell for a song you could have a scent (that could be anything around you that smells) and pair a Beatles song with it by hearing it a lot when you have the scent. With scent pairing it could help you memorize a Beatles song.

Good theory, that.
This is sorta indirect, but because I first heard much of Revolver in a burger joint, occasional listenings will make me think of that burger joint, happy times, and the smell of burgers and fries. Other than that, sorry, no Beatles smells.

That's what I mean, only in reverse.

Oh sure, lots of times, just not with Beatles songs! I can't remember any particular smells from nearby the radio or my stereo where I first heard most of them.
Wings, though...Majority of my most vivid memories triggered by scent are only for more general experiences, like "that time at the camp" or "fifth grade swim class". And there's a certain kind of burned-summer-grass smell (the LAWN kind, @Necko :D) that will always take me back to the summer of '76. And one of the indelible memories of that time is of "Silly Love Songs" and "Let 'em In" being on the radio constantly. So there's that.
Actually, on thinking about it...I heard the (Top 10 Single!) "Got To Get You Into My Life " occasionally that summer as well, but didn't identify it as a Beatles song until years later. So that one doesn't really count, even indirectly.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions, Marvin Gaye. PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Whenever I smell cigarette smoke and deodorant combined it reminds me of With The Beatles .
My second hand bought album sleeve smelled like that (very nasty) so every time I smell it, it reminds me of the album. I've somewhat managed to get the sleeve to smell like lavender, but the smoke and deodorant still remain...
Is that what you meant @Mr. Kite?

I have two smells that I relate to the Beatles.
One is the smell of the newly minted Abbey Road sleeve when it was first issued.
The card-stock was white and almost plasticized, definitely not cardboard. It was unlike later issues. I got it right when it was issued.
There was a pleasant plastic, chemical smell that I noticed the first time I opened it and removed the vinyl disc. I'll never forget it.
The other was the first time I listened to the Beatles as a child. It was the smell of the leather cover of my brand new transistor radio.
Here's what I said in a different thread about it:
"One of my earliest memories was when my parents were buying a new Pontiac LeMans and my brothers and me were relegated to sit in the waiting room at the dealership during the process.
I had just gotten a transistor radio as a gift for Christmas, so this must have been December 1965 or shortly thereafter. It had a real leather cover. It had one of those bone colored earplugs.
I think this might have been the first time I tried to work my radio. I turned it on and heard a really cool song. It was a big hit at the time, called Michelle.
I think it was my first taste of my favorite music group. Always loved that song. I don't know why anyone wouldn't.
I remember taking in the smell of new leather. It was so good."

The cigarette smoke I can understand.
How deodorant got on the album, on the other hand, is a mystery to me.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

Smells that make me think of the Beatles are what their albums smelled like when I first bought them, specifically John's box set (which still smells new) and George's Dark Horse years set.
Another smell that reminds me of the Beatles is the Anthology book, and the taste and smell of sunflower seeds reminds me of them too because I used to always eat sunflower seeds while I read the Anthology.

The odour that my Martin used to have more strongly than it does now (it was somebody's hand lotion, I think) always takes me back to when I was first learning to play-- and on a kick of-- Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth). The smell has faded but occasionally I get a whiff of it. That was the first song I learned to play on that guitar when I first got it and it smelled like that, and I played it a lot because I was obsessed with it.
