…If so, and if McCartney really didn’t take a payment for this work, you could argue it’s a noble effort to introduce a new generation to the work of McCartney and his band, The Quarrymen.
Seriously, THE QUARRYMEN. Or am I missing something?
Or maybe he is going to put it on an album and finally give his backing band a name?

Works for me. Can they limit Soundcloud by country?
At any rate, it’s popped up on YouTube.

Probably belongs in an art thread but i cant find one so its going here – for the moment at least.
The BBC (that feels quite grand) have used Joe’s site as a reference for the below in reporting the creation of an Eleanor Rigby statue made out of £1m used bank notes.
- The song was formed part of The Beatles’ 1966 album, Revolver, and was released as a double A-side single on the same day as the LP, alongsideYellow Submarine
- Paul McCartney said he got the name by combining Eleanor Bron, who played the female lead in Help!, and Rigby & Evens Ltd, whose sign he saw while visiting Bristol
- A gravestone bearing the name Eleanor Rigby lies in Woolton Cemetery near the church where McCartney was first introduced to John Lennon in 1957

A report at Paul’s board on Ringo’s concert, which turned out to be a private event.
Edit: From Breakfast with the Beatles:
I know a lot of us were quite surprised that Ringo’s appearance yesterday wasn’t open to the public. We under the impression it was going to resemble Ringo’s last Peace & Love event in front of Capitol Records. So when we discovered (yesterday afternoon) that it was “guest list only” we were confused to say the least. I was thinking how we plugged this cool event on air and now people can’t get in??? Yikes! I’m really sorry if we lured people down there who didn’t get in. That would be that last thing we ‘d ever want to do to Ringo’s fans or our loyal BWTB listeners. Really sorry for the miscommunication.
