Paul McCartney joined onstage by The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood in London
Paul McCartney teamed up with The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood during his gig at London’s O2 Arena last night (December 5).The former Beatle was playing his only London show of 2011, when towards the end of his set he told the audience he “had a surprise” for them. With that he ushered a denim-clad Wood onstage, having the guitarist play along with him on The Beatles’ 1969 classic ‘Get Back ‘. At the song’s finish, Wood and McCartney hugged each other before the former left the stage.McCartney’s three-hour set took in Beatles, Wings and solo material, and also saw him play a number of Beatles tracks for the first time ever in the UK, including ‘The Night Before ‘, ‘The Word ‘ and ‘Come And Get It ‘.

Paul McCartney : ‘I felt sick the first time the Beatles played Wembley
Paul McCartney has spoken about his history of pre-gig nerves, revealing that he felt like quitting playing live as he was so nervous before The Beatles performed at Wembley Arena. McCartney is currently in the middle of a European arena tour and also said that he still feels like he has to win some of the crowds over. Speaking about his record of pre-show nerves, he told the Daily Mirror: “The first time we ever played – pre-Beatles – I screwed up. So I never played lead guitar again. When the Beatles did Wembley (Arena, then known as the Empire Pool) for the first time (in 1963), I felt sick. I thought, ‘I’ve got to give this up.'” McCartney added that even now he encounters crowd members who are “just standing there”, but added: “We always manage to get them back in the end.”

Next-generation Harrison proves creative talent runs in the family
You might imagine that the musical children of The Beatles would be hugely inspired by that mighty band’s near-perfect body of work. Dhani Harrison, though – son of the late, great George – seems to have been influenced more by his father’s extra-curricular activities. Now 33, Dhani is proving something of a creative polymath. Musically, his current passion is for cutting-edge British genres such as drum ‘n’ bass and dubstep, which pour forth on several projects with his production partner, Paul Hicks, and various guest musicians. George’s tastes seep in almost subconsciously.”I absolutely love Indian classical music,” says Harrison. “You notice the interest when I sit with Paul. With the vocals I’ll do ‘guides’, then we’ll get people to come in and sing them, and there’s always a few notes and a few changes that people don’t get, and Paul will say, ‘Oh, it’s one of those Dhani notes again, he’s been listening to too many Indian classical music records.'”

A Front Row Seat to Rock’s Golden Age
In an era when there were fewer fences around celebrities, Gruen knew many of his subjects personally. After meeting John Lennon in 1972, his relationship with the rocker and Yoko Ono evolved into an enduring friendship. The “Rock Seen” book includes a 1975 shot of Lennon holding his newborn son Sean in their home as Ono looks on. Gruen says he simply knew when to put the camera away. Of hanging out with Lennon and his band Elephant’s Memory, he says, “We all liked tequila and finishing off the night with a good steak and a cognac–and John was always picking up the tab. Not only was he funny and smart, but he always ate well. Eventually I tried to show up at lunch or dinner time ‘til it became a joke. ‘Bob’s here. Must be time for dinner.’”

Lennon’s influence felt 31 years after death
While most people will be spending this week gearing up for the holidays and forming their in-law invasion plans, I will spend it listening to nothing but the Beatles and contemplating what the world would be without the influence of one of the most well-loved men in music’s history. He had his issues just like every other artist but still managed to stay true to himself, regardless of whatever adversity he faced.John Lennon lived from Oct. 9, 1940 to his untimely death on Dec. 8, 1980. From his times as a young boy in Liverpool to his life as an adult in the states, he was able to accomplish many things that most people couldn’t even dream of. He has had enormous success as a musician and as a political activist. Not many can say they have a vastly successful musical career as part of a group or as a solo artist, let alone both.Add to that the fact that he was also a powerful political and peace activist, and he has a pretty impressive résumé. His creativity and ideals have lasted through generations and are still being celebrated today. The proof of that is in the hundreds of thousands of pieces of memorabilia sold or the innumerous visitors to the Strawberry Fields monument in Central Park.

it was Keith Richards who was in the Dirty Mac.
"Now and then, though, someone does begin to grow differently. Instead of down, his feet grow up toward the sky. But we do our best to discourage awkward things like that."
"What happens to them?" insisted Milo.
"Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars."

Yip. Its the yellow submarine story (with movie clips) and lasts about 30 mins. The story as told by Beatles Examiner. There is also a 'new' compilation 'Songs from the Yellow Submarine ' (i guess its official).
The tracklisting is:
Pepperland (George Martin orchestra)
Yellow Submarine In Pepperland (George Martin orchestra)
Sea Of Monsters (George Martin orchestra)
Sea Of Holes (George Martin orchestra)
Help !
With A Little Help From My Friends
Had to figure out why Help ! was there but there is a reference to it in the movie and it points to another album if anyone discovers the song thru this, possibly pushing up sales.
Since Pepper and With A Little Help arent right next to each other do they have a different closing(Pepper) and opening (With A Little Help ) as they have always crossfaded into each other. It will be a weird listening experience regardless, like having Mean Mister Mustard not followed by Polythene Pam .
If anyone ever buys this, tho if you have all the songs why would you, can you let me know.
There may be a few more of these as i think iTunes exclusive deal with The Beatles was for only 2 years initially ending in October 2012, tho they could extend it.
Tho why didnt they release Yellow Submarine Songtrack as the tie-in, its not on itunes but is available on cd. Plus have just realised you cant download the complete film or any other Beatle movies anywhere officially.
