New audio has surfaced of The Beatles Sunday Night at the Palladium on 12 January 1964.

https://webgrafikk.com/blog/ne…..4-tv-show/

The wav file link doesn’t work anymore, but the YouTube link works.

Hummm, a new project for Peter Jackson.

So this is what the family who recorded the show would have seen at the beginning of the show.

Maybe! But I’d rather see Sir Peter work his magic on the Star-Club and Stowe recordings before anything else…

Fun fact just revealed on QI:

1/6th of all Beatles songs reference the weather. A British obsession.

Fun fact that I discovered myself a few weeks ago: About 1/7 of all the 1962-69 Beatles studio works (32 in all) contain the phrase “when I…” john-lennon-salute_gif

I wonder how much of the general top 40 in the 60s also mentioned the weather. I wonder how much of the current top 40 does. ahdn_george_01

Images of a Woman , a painting completed by all 4 Beatles, sells again at auction for £1.4 million.

A genuinely beautiful piece! The white circle in the middle is where a lamp was sitting while they each worked on a corner of the painting.

Paul’s bass is back! He bought it in 1961 and it was stolen in 1972.

Here it is being… uhhh… “played” by John

Amazing story. I would’ve loved to have seen Paul’s reaction when he was told.

And to think that it was found 2.3 miles from 7 Cavendish Avenue. Yes, just a 12 minute drive from Paul’s London house. Amazing!!!!

This is fantastic! I’m so happy to hear that Paul has got his Hofner back after so long. I wonder if he will play it in his next concert? That would be amazing.

I’d like that. In any case I’m hoping the subject gets raised with him at some point.

Sam Mendes / Neal Street Productions To Make Landmark Beatles Biopic Project For Sony Pictures Entertainment

Four feature films, one from each band member’s perspective, will have global theatrical release in 2027

Culver City, CA (February 20th, 2024) — Today, Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), Sam Mendes, and Neal Street Productions announced a groundbreaking creative endeavor to tell the story of The Beatles with four distinct theatrical feature films. The project marks the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and The Beatles – Paul McCartney , Ringo Starr , and the families of John Lennon and George Harrison – have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film.
As conceived by Mendes, who will direct, the four theatrical feature films – one from each band member’s point-of-view – will intersect to tell the astonishing story of the greatest band in history.

An interesting (and epic) concept. The usual way the story is told – John had a band, met Paul, Paul introduced George, then they found Ringo  – does give short shrift to the “other” three.

I’ve made a thread for proper discussions friends:

https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..7/#p386997

I honestly don’t think they’ll get into the querrymen story that much. But yes. Most certainly John’s Story will be the Beatles Origin/taking off and it will be the first movie (or the last one to close the series)

Four movies is a lot. It’s like a Marvel cinematic universe type approach. I wonder how they’ll release them? One a year? There’s a gamble in this too if the first isn’t well received. Time will tell. Big news in any case, and shows the Beatles content isn’t slowing down any time soon.
