Wednesday 25th July, 2018 – 2:00PM BSTPaul McCartney in Casual Conversation
Paul will be returning to his old school in Liverpool, now The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) for an intimate hour long Q & A and conversation session with LIPA students. The event will be streamed live on Facebook allowing fans from all over the world to tune in and watch Paul talk about his career and his forthcoming new album ‘Egypt Station’ which will be released on September 7.
For those watching the event on Facebook they too have the opportunity to join in. Paul would like to ask fans from around the world to submit questions to THIS POST in advance. A select few will be chosen to be answered as part of the event.
Anyone holding out hope that there will be a few good questions asked/answered? Or do you think we will get the same old drivel?
Will be a colossal waste of time except for any news on a ‘White Album ‘ 50th release. The few questions will be vetted beforehand to omit anything of any note leaving us bland nonsense, promotion of his new album and the same answers to the same questions we’ve had for the last 50 years.
I’ll go for one answer being about how John and Paul wrote together and the story about ‘Hey Jude ‘ and “The movement you need is on your shoulder”.
We could play Paul McCartney Q&A bingo.

In other news, Paul’s Carpool Karaoke is believed to be behind The Beatles 1 album jumping from #90 to #31 in this week’s UK album chart.
Why was it at #90 before? It’s not like 1 was re-issued this year. Is this just one of those things that “the Beatles are the greatest band ever” will have to suffice as an answer?

Sales have dropped and the charts have changed so the days of needing to sell _000’s are gone. Being #90 probably means someone has bought a few copies for presents in stores, Amazon has shipped a handful of discs, and folk are streaming it thru the air.

Offline A rally was held at the Lennon memorial in Central Park, Strawberry Fields, on Wednesday, opposing the release of his murderer who has his 10th parole hearing next week. The New York Post reports there are concerns he may be freed this time as the NY parole board has made some controversial releases in recent months.

Would imagine travel is for those in other States to attend but not have to pay $k’s for those in other parts of the world.

America is a big country. Most Americans would have to travel to get to New York. Many of them many many miles. You can’t enter if you’re outside America, and it pays for internal travel within America, so I’d say that’s inclusive of travel.

Offline Lennon’s killer denied parole for the 10th time. 
The parole board said his release “would be incompatible with the welfare and safety of society”.
You admittedly carefully planned and executed the murder of a world-famous person for no reason other than to gain notoriety.
While no one person’s life is any more valuable than another’s life, the fact that you chose someone who was not only a world renown person and beloved by millions, regardless of the pain and suffering you would cause to his family, friends and so many others, you demonstrated a callous disregard for the sanctity of human life and the pain and suffering of others.
He can try again in August 2020.
