It’s yet another use of that highly overused message, but it’s all in a good cause so I don’t mind.

Admiral Grove, Ringo’s is up for sale with a guide price of £55,000.

Yahoo writes that

Mr. Starr was born Richard Starkey at nearby 9 Madryn Street but moved to Admiral Grove with his mother, Elsie, around the time his parents separated in 1943. He learned to play the drums, celebrated his 21st birthday and got married at the property, which became a regular hangout for the so-called Fab Four before they became famous.

and there is more at the link.

He’s playing a reverse of Dorian Grey to Keith Richard.

In Dorian Grey, the living example is kept young by the decaying portrait in the attic. In real life, the decaying Keith Richard is kept alive by sapping life energy by the ridiculously young looking Paul McCartney , who has a portrait by Stu Sutcliffe in his attic that’s looking more and more like Keith Richard!

A very mysterious video has just been posted on Paul’s social media channels. Does anyone care to venture a guess as to what it’s about? I’m hoping it means a new album…

Where was it announced?

Cannot type “New Paul McCartney Album” without getting a whole pile of crap about ‘New’ (i still hate that title with a fiery bitter hatred).

I was slightly wrong. Paul didn’t “announce” anything. I think it’s pretty safe to say that there’s a new album coming out fairly soon, though.

SG has it wrong (and right). The UK newspaper The Sun reported a few weeks ago that Paul was recording a new album with Adele’s producer on her 25 album, Greg Kurstin. Paul’s response was a “No comment”. So, wrong in the detail (no Paul announcement), but right in essence – that news of a new Paul album being in the pipeline has been floating around for a couple of months.

So, this weird video could well be the precursor to an official announcement.

It is also reported that Paul has a (specially written) role in the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

parlance said on 15 August 2014 on page 93 of this thread

From The Hollywood Reporter: The ‘Entourage’ star will appear in Jeremy Profe’s ‘The Lennon Report,’ an account of the attempts to save the rock star’s life

parlance

This movie is finally going to be shown at 3 film festivals.

http://www.examiner.com/articl…..al-circuit

“The Lennon Report,” a film about the events on the night John Lennon was killed, will be featured in three U.S. film festivals that begin in April, a film spokesman told Beatles Examiner. The movie will be featured in two showings at the upcoming Beverly Hills Film Festival on April 6 and April 9. It will then move to the East Coast for the Boston International Film Festival, then go back to the West Coast the following week for the Newport Beach Film Festival in California.

The film, directed by Jeremy Profe and starring Richard Kind, Evan Jonigkeit, Stef Dawson, David Zays and Devin Ratray, looks at the situation faced by medical personnel who had to attend to the mortally wounded John Lennon the night he was shot, including the fact some didn’t know it was Lennon who was their patient. It also looks at how the hospital had tried to keep the story quiet.

The spokesman said that when the film’s director and producers were doing research for the movie, they discovered what they said were serious inconsistencies in the reporting of the story, including who the actual doctor was that performed surgery on Lennon. They say two different doctors had claimed to have performed surgery on him, though they say neither did. The research resulted in major changes to the script and they say the film includes the conflicting stories of doctors and nurses on duty that night. Some of those medical personnel have been doing interviews for the film and were featured in a report by Fox News media reporter Howard Kurtz that also included a response by Yoko Ono.

The Beverly Hills Film Festival screenings will be at 5:45 p.m. April 6 and 9 p.m. April 9 at TCL Chinese 6 Theatres at 6925 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles. The Boston showing will be at 3 p.m. April 16 in the Bright Family Room of the Paramount Center at 559 Washington Street. The Newport Festival runs from April 21 to April 28.

Wish I were near one of those places.

Definitely a film I will be avoiding. Tho its a film with someone playing John  doesnt mean I can sit thru 90 minutes or however long it lasts.

Speculation here that it could be a box-set compilation of Paul’s career as the tracks contained range from ‘McCartney’  to ‘New’ tho omitting ‘Driving Rain ‘ (the Heather influenced album), ‘Flowers In The Dirt ‘ (upcoming in the Archive series, tho an idiotic reason if so). Maybe the ‘Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five‘ remixes are a bonus cd or something.
