No and its incredibly unlikely there will be any more; Apple and Harmonix have pretty much ruled out there being anything new for the game.

Ringo’s Rydinghurst Estate in Surrey

A little bit from the article

Only a few months ago he declared England would always be his home, but I can reveal now that Ringo Starr is selling his 200-acre Surrey estate and moving to the United States.
Ringo, who first swapped Liverpool for Surrey in 1965, bought the Rydinghurst Estate near Cranleigh in 1999 and has lived in its 17th Century mansion ever since.
But the lure of California’s sunshine and healthy living has proved too much for the Beatles drummer – he and his wife Barbara Bach, a former Bond Girl, are set make Los Angeles their main home.

‘We’ve had it for 15 years but we don’t spend enough time there, and LA is the right place for us to be now. It’s not that sad, because it’s time for a change.

‘And the weather is better over there. I’m really into the healthy lifestyle that they have out in LA.

‘I do yoga every day and eat healthily. I’m obsessed with broccoli – I eat it every day with absolutely everything.

‘No matter what, I always add broccoli. It’s become a running joke – my wife makes fun of me for it.

‘Even when I cook a basic dish like pasta and pesto I throw in some broccoli. I don’t have it with breakfast though – that would be strange. But broccoli is my secret to looking young.’

Broccoli, anyone?

Ringo sold the house for £13.5 million

So after selling his house Ringo goes above Sting in how much money he has.

I wonder if i send him a request for £1m Ringo will remember his plan long ago to do the same to Frank Sinatra and agree. After all if you have £290m would you miss £1m of it?a-hard-days-night-paul-7

Alas, mmm, Ringo is no longer taking any requests.  Peace & Love; Peace & Love.

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

Yeah but not asking him to sign anything. He can quite easily transfer the money into my account or leave me his bank details. I swear i will not withdraw one (1) pence more than the £1m requested.

And to complete Ringo’s plan back in the 50’s with Mr Sinatra i will repay the £1m in one years time.

Wogblog report on The Beatles’ concert at the Plaza de toros Las Ventas in Madrid from the the 2nd July 1965 is to be released on the 50th anniversary of the show on limited edition vinyl as well as being made available online for free.

Joe’s entry on the Beatles appearance there.

Apple however may try and stop this coming out so its a case of wait and see as a handful of concerts and shows have been said to have been getting releases and then disappeared without trace.

The Beatles’ iconic Sgt Pepper album to be taught to GCSE music students

It may well have been more than 70 years ago today that Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play, according to the lyrics of the song.

But now it has been immortalised in a way that John Lennon and Paul McCartney would probably never have thought of when they sat down to write it way back in 1965 – it is the central theme of a refreshed GCSE music course.

Britain’s biggest exam board, the AQA, is insisting that all students study three songs from the Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band – “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds “, “With A Little Bit Of Help From My Friends” and “Within You, Without You”.

They will be asked to study the melody, harmony structure and rhythm – and the meaning of the lyrics which, in the case of “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds “, have been debated by Beatles’ fans for years. Some have argued the title – which includes the letters “LSD” – refers to drug-taking but Lennon always maintained it was based on a girl called Lucy who was a friend of his son’s.

Hey, this might net us some new members!

How is it “more than 70 years ago today that Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play, according to the lyrics of the song”? Paul sang “it was 20 years ago” in the song back in 1967, its only 48 years this year so at the most you get 68 years.

Very nice. I’ll have to get one, since I lost the top to my last lava lamp and had to get rid of it.

I just don’t know which one to get. Maybe Sgt. Pepper or MMT. Or Revolver if there is one.

Not in the slightest @Beatlebug, i can use it at night and use my official Beatles duster to keep it clean. I’ve been waiting ages for this news, my 20 years being a Beatles fan finally pays in off. Just a shame its coming up to the summer and there is no news of a £44 official Beatles mole catcher for my garden.
