From WogBlog:
Bootleg Recordings 1964 coming
Universal Music Canada supposedly confirmed that a release is forthcoming. Like last year’s Bootleg Recordings 1963, the new Beatles release is going to be a digital only, quiet release. We are hoping that a number of concert performances from 1964 will be included.

Daily Mail article:
Unlawful cash payments made to members of The Beatles were covered up by the Treasury, according to Government papers published for the first time today.
Thousands of pounds were transferred from the US to George Harrison and John Lennon in 1973, in breach of strict foreign exchange controls in force in Britain at the time.
But lawyers acting for the Government decided against referring the case to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

From Broadway.com:
London is set to “Get Back ” the fab four—Let It Be is returning to the West End! The Beatles tribute will begin performances on February 28, 2015 at the Garrick Theatre and will play a limited engagement through September 27, before commencing a UK tour. Full casting will be announced later.
Mods: I’ve asked earlier if I should start a thread for theater shows like this one because I come across so many of these. I was wondering if instead I should x-post to the tribute acts thread?

Since it is a tribute group presentation, that thread seems appropriate.

My mother-in-law bought me a copy of this Rolling Stone Special Edition which reviews The Beatles albums. She bought it at a store, not via Amazon.

I saw it at Walgreens. My reaction was:
1. Oh, I must flip through it.
2. I bet I know everything in it.
3. Will they ever stop releasing this endless stream of Beatles magazines?
4. Where would I put all of them if I bought them?

2. He probably knows everything in it
3. How many of these does he really need?
4. He is running out of room on the book shelf as it is
It is curently under our Christmas tree waiting to be read.

Would anyone mind scanning a particular photo in it? It’s of Paul painting the signs for Our World. I hadn’t seen it before, but it wasn’t worth buying the entire magazine.

An interesting site called ‘BBC Genome‘ has been created which lets you search the BBC tv and radio listings from 1923 -> 2009. Of course the Beatles are heavily featured there, for example the BBC have screened ‘Let It Be‘ four times, the most recent being at 15:10 on the 8th May 1982. I wonder if i got to watch it – quite something if my first Beatles experience was watching the film where they are at their most fragmented.

Sorry if I’m repeating news but iTunes is having a Beatles sale and the albums are really cheap!!
Just got love for $8. (Only had it on vinyl before.)
Single albums (and Love) are $8 and White Album , BBC discs, and anthologies are $20 each.
If you’re looking for any of those now would be a good time to buy!
