I did some googling on this when I was researching my plan to save John. Apparently John (and Paul and George) were pretty much the same height, with Paul being a fraction taller than the others, but their heights were exaggerated to make them seem more attractive, like the Rolling Stones' ages being pulled down.

Ringo was supposedly 5'5 or 6 but had his height pulled up to 5'8 so that people didn't think "he's not five inches shorter than them!", and someone who was 5'10 reported being taller than one of the three, so maybe 5'9. I don't think we can really say though.

Woah thats really interesting. Can someone go back in time and measure these guys or be their tailor or something?

Speaking of older and younger, Someone today told me I look like im 7 years old! Im 13! Another person said I look like a porcelin doll!

But I made up a comeback for both of them, "Yeah I may look like I'm 7 now, but when Im 40 and I look 20, your gonna wish you were me," That got them to stop teasing me!a-hard-days-night-john-1

Since we were talking about how tall we are over on the Paul's "Out There" tour thread, and since we are bringing old threads to life, here's this one.

I looked up their heights a year ago, and one site had Paul as the tallest by a centimeter.

He would have to be the tallest, wouldn't he?  I can hear him in an interview now: "People say John was the tallest, but I was tall first. See, it's easy for people who weren't there to go around claiming who was tallest, but they weren't there, were they, so how would they know? I lived through it and grew to be tallest. It's not widely known, but I was even tall before John was tall."

If this wasn't so funny I'd be annoyed. John would be doing the exact same thing if Paul had gotten shot in 1980.

"Tall first", eh? Well, Ringo would've been unquestionably the tallest Beatle from the time he was born - before ANY of the others! - until a period of many, many months thereafter. I therefore contend that Ringo was tall first.

RINGO: TALLEST BEATLE!

I just peed a little in my pants. Thanks for the laugh.

You could have added, "65% of this can be attributed to my height and 35% to John's lack of height".

Of course, as the expert, I have to point out that you are all wrong.

The tallest Beatle first is/was Stuart Sutcliffe. He was the tallest in June 1940, while Ringo would not start to be tall until July 1940.

Which explains the problem between Paul and Stuart. Obviously Paul was jealous that John knew that Stuart was taller before him.

I read Pete Best was the same height as Japage 3.  Whatever that's worth.
