Personally i think its going fine the way it is, its already a fifth of the way there, so dont see a reason for changing it. But hey, if someone wants to work another way, thinks it will be quicker and is happy to do so knowing that this other method is happening at the same time then who am i to complain.

@meanmistermustard I’m not going to go against what you want, mmm. I’m just pointing that I’m on page 15 and you’re on page 4. No criticism, it is good to see people doing what they can to help out. There is no possibility that, as parlance suggests, it will all be done by tomorrow. But if my help is unwanted then I will stop offering it. I just wanted it back up as soon as. I could do up to page 15 within the next couple of hours, but I won’t as you want to spread putting the thread back up over days.

The question i have is how are you going to get pages 10 – 15 (as an example since thats where we are up to) in to thread? That’s where i’m lost. Aren’t you just going to do what Mr Kite is currently doing which is copying and pasting them? So how is that quicker?

Offline Were I to do it, which I am no longer prepared to do because of attitude to my suggestions, I already have them up and ready to go. I’m just now doing it for myself, but I could post a missing post every minute to the end of page 16. You’ve lost me on this though. No longer prepared to help. Just doing a reconstruction for myself now.

Offline @Ron Nasty I’m sorry if you feel slighted or anything, that was never my intention and never wanted. As i’ve said a number of times i dont get the difference between what we are doing and what you are doing.
Please lets not fall out over this. All help and suggestions are wanted and deeply appreciated, I honestly just dont understand how your method is that different to ours, so if anyone can clearly explain it to me so i do i’d appreciate it.

Offline As I said, starting this morning, I am way ahead. I have offered my help, and am working with a dangerous power adapter at the moment. I am doing page 17 at the moment. I have not been asked by @meanmistermustard to post up to where I am, so I will not. I – stupidly it seems – after an email from mmm, believed I was being asked to help. I said I could help, that I could put a lot back up very quickly. All I got in response was “Why? You’re way ahead of where we are, but why?” My help isn’t wanted or needed, so I now sign out.

Offline I’m lost in all this and how it got to here. My response has been “how” not why – if i understood how Ron was going to do it differently my replies may have been different.
Anyway i dont want to argue or fight or fall out or anything else – all help, suggestions, replies, posts, kind words, work and intentions are wanted and appreciated. I’m sorry @Ron Nasty you feel that was not the case and i deeply appreciate you being available, being willing and being around to help with this. Please dont think that is not the case.
My intention all along has been to get the posts back up as quickly as possible and thats what my focus has been on. If i stepped out of line and did something wrong or said something wrong or irked anyone it is was never the intention.

However had you asked, when you’d reached page 4 and I was on page 15, me to take over and post what I had we’d be far ahead of where we are. No point asking for help, looking at me saying I have lots of pages ready to go, and ignoring that. As I said, no longer willing to help as you’re willing to say, “Run with what you have until you’re out of breath.” You don’t want my help, so I won’t give it. Sorry to have trod on your toes! Mr Kite is currently speeding on so we’re good for now but help may be wanted later if you’re about. Even if its just 10 posts it would be 10 less for someone else to do and it all adds up.
All we’re doing is using the links in page one of this thread to go to the linked cached posts that we’re up to and posting each one individually into the new Dream thread adding the details of who posted it and when (time and date). I’m not fussed about the exact layout as long as its complete and easy to follow and understand.
It was decided early on to do it in shifts so to avoid chaos when adding the posts in so when Mr Kite is wanting to stop someone else will take over. I think we’re going first come first served.

Offline This probably doesn’t matter, but the thread was originally Beatle Dreams and now it’s Beatles, so links to the other thread now lead nowhere. If you changed it to Beatle Dreams would that change the URL back? Because if it would then all those links would lead to the right place again (even though post numbers from old links would be different).
