Hi all,
Results are n from the RR Auction sale:
http://www.rollingstone.com/mu…..a-20130821
Also, i noticed a few people asking about what happened to the John Lennon tooth:
Well, Michael Zuk has had the same idea as most of you and is trying to clone Lennon – http://www.rollingstone.com/mu…..a-20130821
You’ll also notice his relative has put a part of the tooth in a statue. There was also rumours that he’d be making celebrity DNA pendants with hair and teeth and all sorts. I reckon there’s a pretty big market for these!

Fold would walk about with a bit of tooth in a pendant!? That is gross. Would hate to think what the other bits are.

Question is, would you pay that much for it? Undoubtedly very important but also quite a tatty thing.
Thanks,

I just wanted to let Beatles fans know that this fantastic collection of the original printing plates (used to produce the Beatles Monthly Book) along with the letterhead for The Beatles Fan Club is up for sale this Friday 30th May by Omega Auctions (omegaauctions.co.uk). This collection comprises of around 250 plates used in the publication of the above issues and includes the full photographic silver negatives of The Beatles on blocks that featured in the books, pages of text along with smaller blocks featuring titles, headings, signatures and illustrations. It really is a unique and incredible collection of Beatles memorabilia. There are also collections of Beatles autographs up for grabs, along with a low numbered copy of The White Album ; recordings from Radio Luxemborg plus rare posters…all to be auctioned on Friday. All images & detaileed info can be seen on the catalogue online.

Someone emailed me asking if I knew anything about this 1971 This Is Not Here exhibition t-shirt. I don’t, but I thought I’d post it here. $20,000 seems a little on the optimistic side. You’d have thought they’d at least throw in free shipping.
Edit: received this email from the same person:
Yes it’s mine and the price is only to draw attention to it so someone might help yield information about it. I think it’s authentic because of the “look” of the label and the sleeve design. The misspelled words are puzzling to me, but then again, doesn’t that sound just like something Yoko and John would do? I wish I could contact Yoko personally who might know it’s origin or verify it’s authenticity.

I was doing my usual Craigslist & eBay browsing tonight and came across something pretty interesting. It looks legitimate (although some of you might know better how to tell the difference between legitimate Beatles stuff and illegitimate Beatles stuff) and I’m leaning strongly towards putting a bid in on it. I would really appreciate some help in knowing a little more about the item so that I don’t lose money in the end.
The description says it is a MONO UK PMC 7067 & PMC 7068 No. 0000009 (supposedly one of the lowest numbers to emerge to date and represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity). It is evidently the UK MONO White Album and it is in nice condition with the Beatles favorite number—number 9.
Just so I provide as much information as possible (so that I can hopefully find someone who can give me a little direction), the description also says ‘The Beatles’ (more commonly known as ‘The White Album ’) was released on 22nd November 1968 and was housed in a plain white cover which is seen in the pictures. It goes on to say that copies number 0000001 to 0000004 were originally given to the members of The Beatles themselves and as yet, have not emerged on the market. I’m assuming that this fact alone makes these albums extremely valuable (and I’m hoping that someone can verify that).
I didn’t mean to make this post so long and I apologize for that. The last bit of information I want to include (again, for the purpose of hopefully getting some good direction on whether or not I should purchase this complete set) is that the description goes on to say that the unique, complete copy is UK 1968 MONO 1st pressing on the dark green Apple labels: PMC 7067 & PMC 7068 and that the record labels carry the ‘Sold in UK…’ text but omit the ‘An EMI Recording’ text found on later editions. This also sounds like it could be a pretty big deal.
The main concern I have is that I don’t know much about this specific album set and want to make a good investment. There is a lot of additional information in the actual description and quite a few pictures of the actual items being sold. That is why I hyper-linked a couple of the item names in this extremely long post. If anyone can find a little extra time to check on this and help verify its legitimacy, I would greatly appreciate it. It is an eBay auction and the hyper-links will take you right to the exact auction that I am referencing. If I don’t get some direction, I will more than likely not place a bid on it. That way I am guaranteed not to lose any money.
Thanks a Bunch,
BeatlesCollector!
