Sgt. Pepper 's Lonely Hearts Club Band SPECIAL EXTREMELY LIMITED PRESSING FOR CAPITOL EXECUTIVES ONLY with special cover showing Capitol Records executives instead of the Beatles!!!
Here is the story: In December of 1967, at the Capitol Records tower in Hollywood, a special party was held for the executives and salesmen working for the label. Sgt. Pepper had been released in June of 1967 and quickly became the biggest selling record to date for the Beatles and it is still considered by most as their all time MASTERPIECE. To celebrate that release and have a fun party at the same time, CAPITOL REVAMPED THE COVER, REMOVING THE BEATLES and replacing them and others from the original cover with the faces of various Executives and Salesmen. They produced, as best is known, about 100 copies of this special cover and pasted them on to front covers of the regular Album and gave them out as "party favors" at the gathering. ONLY those in attendance could have one.
In the years since that Christmas party, there have been a grand total of FOUR verified original copies known to have survived. Two were in "wrecked" condition and sold in the 1980's by Rockaway Records of Los Angeles to lucky collectors. A third was found in Indiana, in the collection of a former Capitol records salesman in AVERAGE condition and sold about ten years ago for $45,000.00. THIS COPY, in perfect MINT and STILL SEALED in the original shrink wrap is the ONLY copy known to be in this kind of condition. There COULD be a few more of the 100 made still out there and unaccounted for, but it would be an absolute miracle if any of them would be in still sealed and perfect Mint condition, like this one!
Usually only speculated to exist and never seen in person by 99% of all Beatles collectors, this is THE one to own. NO Beatles collection, however great, will EVER be complete without this record.
I guess I'll have to settle for an incomplete Beatles collection then…
I would buy it but for the delivery fee. $66 to send it to me!!! Amazon charge less than a tenner and that’s for a month.

Ebay say $67.10 for delivery. Sorry but too confusing for me.

The first time The Beatles were played on the radio is believed to have been when Love Me Do was played by Radio Luxembourg. The advance copy of the single that was played, now owned by DJ Tony Prince, is being auctioned by Omega Auctions on 28 January 2020, valued at between £15,000-£20,000.THE BEATLES RADIO LUXEMBOURG 'FIRST EVER' PLAYED COPY OF Love Me Do . An incredible piece of music history. This the Radio Luxembourg library copy of 'Love Me Do ', this being the very 7" played by Radio Luxembourg DJs during the period. RL is widely acknowledged to be the first of the radio stations to give the Beatles airtime and were crucial in launching the Fab Four on their way to superstardom. The framed display includes a demonstration copy of the record (45-R 4949) with visible A side seemingly in Ex condition (with incorrect McArtney spelling) and with label signed in blue ink by Paul McCartney . Also a 1994 telex sent from MPL to Tony Prince with body to read 'Dear Tony, I'm happy to confirm that i first heard 'Love Me Do ' (our first release) on Radio Luxembourg. Did I ever thank you for playing it? if not, I do now. Cheers, All the very best' with signature (facsimile) by Paul McCartney . Frame measures 28 x 18".
The winning bid was £17,000.
Wonder who got it.

I've been clearing out a few cupboards and have some old Beatles and John Lennon related VHS tapes. Some of these I believe have some fairly rare content. .
There is and "Essential TV Appearances 63-68" but I can't remember what's on it. There's "The Mystery Trip" which is Maccas 67 holiday film. There's also a double video called "The Beatles 1962-70 limited edition" and I seem to remember this has some interesting content but I can't remember what. There's also Lennon's interview with Tom Snyder.
I have listed on eBay. The link is here for anyone interested.
