Thanks for the link, Parlance. This “April Fool’s” article is really funny.
I hope someone can help me out on this one.
I am aware that the article is an April Fools joke, and I’ve seen mentions of Bruce admitting it was a prank. However, I found myself caught up in a discussion with someone who won’t accept it. They are convinced that ‘interview’ is true and that PID indeed was thought up by Brian. That wouldn’t be such an issue under normal circumstances, but this person is using it as ammunition against PID proponents and she’s doing it in a very aggressive way which does not look PIA believers look good. I’ve tried to tell her it was a joke, and I’ve shown her to the Bruce Spizer FB group where it was clearly indicated, but she’s convinced that was just another ruse, a cheeky way to make people think it was a joke even though, according to her, it never was. Because it’s mentioned as a real thing somewhere on the internet, therefore… 
I’d stop engaging her, except she keeps engaging me. And she continues to spread that stupid joke, saying it’s true. I swear, she’s as bad as those who believe in PID. Anyway, what I’m asking is: is there a reputable source somewhere which very clearly states it was an April fools joke? And I mean in such a way that even she can’t deny it, because she’s very bad at reading between the lines. I’ve searched high and low, but I can only find indirect mentions that Bruce Spizer admitted it was a joke. If anyone can help me out here, that’d be great.
I can’t believe I just asked that question…. Bloody hell…

Offline It has been pointed out multiple times that “Lies” by The Knickerbockers sounds very much like the Beatles (and some older, dodgier bootlegs try to pass it off as a genuine unreleased Beatles song). Somebody on YouTube tried to make the Beatles actually sing Lies.
