Alright, so this Friday is my 18th Birthday ! (woohoo) and I am going with my grandparents to go see Beatles Tribute Band at a banquet hall.

The person running the event has let me know that a professor from a university who teaches a course only on The Beatles is going to be there and he asked me to think of a good question to ask!

I have some ideas and would really like to know what questions do you think would impress him?

Ask about what guitar was played on a certain song or who played what on a certain song, although if you want to impress him, I’d recommend you tell him something intelligent about The Beatles instead of asking him.

Any intelligent question will get that person to dig into facts & insights. Within months (early 1964), the group was impressing the likes of Leonard Bernstein, among others in the “serious” music field. “What was different about the group that separated them from any other band of that era?”

If you can you should record/transpose the questions and answers and share them with us.

Beatles fans love talking about the White Album . Ask him something related to band morale or ask about their adventures in India.

Something I would like to know, did Paul use eastern influence in his music the way John and George did?

I’ll try my best to but I’m pretty sure that he’s only going to allow me to ask one question. Not sure though, I will let you know.

I want the question to be somewhat general but also thought – provoking.
