Interview from 2005 with Cynthia, while promoting her second book on John, called simply John. The interviewer (who’s posted it), Alex Belfield, claims it is her last radio interview, don’t know if that’s true.
It’s interesting to compare how she talks about their relationship and him here, and how authors and commentators portray the same. There’s some fascinating insights and understanding in this interview.

Happy Birthday John Lennon ! Such an incredible influence on the lives of all those he came across, and that impact continues to live on. We were fortunate enough to chat with many of the producers and engineers who worked most closely with him in his post-Beatles NYC years as he wrote and recorded songs from “Imagine ” to “Starting Over”. From Shelly Yakus, to Jack Douglas, Rod O’Brien, Ed Stasium, Jay Messina, and Greg Calbi, these first-hand accounts are available to listen at bit.ly/88JohnLennon.
