I hear George playing electric guitar on an early take that was on Anthology 3 and I know Paul told him he didn’t want him playing an answer after every phrase(which George was miffed about) but I don’t hear it at all on the final version even though it’s listed. I I hear the Paul’s piano and John’s acoustic guitar, Ringo’s drums and overdubbed tambourine. He doesn’t play bass either despite him doing so on the promotional film. Paul overdubbed his bass.

Offline If I remember right, he didn’t play it the whole way through the song. I think he only played it on the final verse. I might be wrong though.

Offline Wait , are you talking about the part at 2:13 after Paul sings “someone to perform with”? It’s one tiny moment out of the whole eight minutes! I didn’t even know that was an electric guitar because it didn’t sound like one. I thought that was a trumpet from the orchestra or something. If you see the video at 3:11 it actually cuts to George at that moment and he does look angry like “This is my only part in the whole @#$ing song!”
