The instrumental is so iconic but because it’s just an instrumental this one seems to get overlooked in their catalog. Could you imagine if they had written lyrics to it? I wonder what kept them from writing lyrics to it. Has that ever been commented on?

One of my first thoughts is, “I wonder if John sang any of his famous wordplay lyrics while rehearsing the number?”. Those would be fun recordings to hear.
I’m sure if they did decide to write lyrics for this one, they would have been wonderful.
