A strong John focus in your list, which is always good to see.

It’s been a hard day’s night while…
5. Across The Universe (Past Masters version) (Yes, it’s still on here )
6. For No One
7. The Word
8. I Will
9. If I Fell
A lot of mid-period Paul currently. Also, Yikes, looking back to when I last did this in 2017 and I cringe a little at how dramatic I used to be with my lists lol (page 3… ).

oh my god.
what was i THINKING when i made this list a year ago?
Paul or John playing piano on Lovely Rita ? Thats like assuming Strawberry Fields Forever is an Elvis song!
I’ll just redo my list.
10. Run For Your Life : The lyrics are kinda bad, but they’re not horrible. And the guitar is amazing.
9. A Day In The Life : Who doesn’t love this song?
8. Old Brown Shoe : The bass slaps! I couldn’t play that even if I tried!
7. Every little thing: By far the best song on Beatles For Sale . It’s an underrated gem!
6. Within You Without You : Beautiful George song . I also wanted to include Love You To and The Inner Light , but they’re a bit too similar to each other. I picked my favorite of the Indian trilogy, which is this song.
5. Here There And Everywhere : God , this song is beautiful. I remember buying revolver on vinyl for the first time, putting the needle on the record, and hearing this. And the first four songs already did things to my mind, but this one slowed everything down. I feel so at peace listening to it.
4. For You Blue : I’m a huge fan of that slide guitar. It just rocks! I feel very happy listening to this song, and it always puts me in a good mood.
3. Happiness Is A Warm Gun : I love this song. Like, a lot. The best part is the guitar solo. And the song has 4 different parts! I love songs like that, although @The Hole Got Fixed may disagree on that statement.
2. Strawberry Fields Forever : This is a trip. Like, this song is absolutely nuts! I love it, and I’m pretty sure everyone else does as well.
1. Hold Me Tight /Kansas City /What goes on/Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
Just kidding
The actual number 1 is…
1. I Am The Walrus : Perfect. Just perfect.

We risk meanmistermustard leaving the forum if he sees what you put at number 10 though!

What on earth is heavy in ‘Hold Me Tight ‘?

Presumably Magill means “heavy” as in “…metal”, not lyrical depth. The semi-distorted “chugging” rhythm guitar in “Hold Me Tight ” is a step forward from the traditionally twangier tones of the debut.
(At least, that’s what I think is meant – don’t wanna put words in your mouth, Magill/Lil/Nancy…)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I’d rather you were honest and post what you want than suggest you are editing posts for my or anyone else’s liking. Some folk around here really like ‘Hold Me Tight ’, but then there are people in the world who put mustard on cornflakes so it’s hardly saying much of a positive stance.

Cool. Nice to see another join my side of the garden. It is a truly good-awful piece of crap to the point where it’s possibly the only Beatles track I have nothing positive to say about it. Everything is simply utter crap.

And mine. It has to include the last track from SPLHCB , and then three songs each by Macca, Lennon and Harrison in no particular order.

I just saw this, and it’s actually still my exact top 10 (still in no particular order). And just for fun, let’s add the top contenders for the 11-20 spots:
Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)

I was kind of surprised looking back at the first page and seeing Yesterday and Here Comes The Sun . Obviously they’re both amazing songs but I figured I wouldn’t have gone for such big names back then. I am pleased with the list though. Heres a new one.
0. Sexy Sadie /Abbey Road Medley
4. I’m Only Sleeping
5. Don’t Let Me Down
6. Girl
10. Ballad of John and Yoko
Keeping to ten is tough, so many amazing songs. Maybe we should do another bracket challenge this March.
"The pump don't work cause the vandals took the handles!"
-Bob Dylan, Subterranean Homesick Blues
"We could ride and surf together while our love would grow"
-Brian Wilson, Surfer Girl
