Offline Baby’s In Black is quite a gem. Those harmonies on “Oh how long will it take” are fantastic. Really great song. If you can get 1 of 3 or 33% of those songs to your list of good songs i’ve succeeded.

Offline I actually remember when I first heard Happiness Is A Warm Gun . I was in my car with the CD player. When it transitioned to the ‘Happiness Is A Warm Gun ’ section, from 1.34 onwards, it was a brain orgasm. It was just so blissful, so right, like, yep, this is genius. The ‘when I hold you’ part just ratcheted it up to another plane of existence.
Love all those other songs Sir Walter listed, but also gotta say This Boy is a trademark Lennon vocal.

That’s very much it, yup. Plus add to that Ringo keeping the beat in 4/4 while the harmony and melody goes in 3/4, or 6/8 or however you want to meassure it in the “When i hold you…” section… , plus the final falsetto…

I’ll start with Hold Me Tight . I must say, it’s really grown on me! I definitely wouldn’t keep it in my ‘hate list’ anymore, it’s too good for that. I’ll move it up to a ‘a can enjoy this on occasion!’
Yes It Is : Nope, not for me. Dreary is the word that comes to mind. The vocals sound like they were all bored. The lead guitar is incredibly annoying. Ringo played all 12 (sarcasm…) of his notes correctly, but wow, what a hard and inspiring part he had…
Happiness Is A Warm Gun : Ok, this one is a tiny bit better. It’s not going to get out of my hate list, however it may just have escaped being in my bottom 5. The main issue I have with it is the one I have with Bohemian Rhapsody: there’s at least 4 different sections in it. None of the sections return. To me, that’s distracting for the listener, and poor songwriting. Rule #1 – you must link back to what you’ve done earlier in the song somehow. Though it gets one gold star for the drums and bass, they’re not bad. And ok, John’s vocals are pretty cool too. But as a song? Sorry, the song after (Martha My Dear ) eclipses it completely.
This Boy : The recording is one of my biggest gripes. The drums sound weird, the bass is sometimes boomy, sometimes not, and the vocals have that weird phasing effect some of the early recording had, but is particularly noticeable and almost annoying on this one. Ringo’s part so completely does not fit the song at all imo, the edit at 1:28 is an easy 5% off my score, and the overall mood is just a little too far away from what I like. Though the section at 1:00 isn’t too bad. That bit wouldn’t make too bad a verse, actually…
Finally, Sun King : The wandering around with the panning at the start annoys me. I can fully appreciate the chord progression, and the harmonies, however the entire time while listening to it I was constantly thinking ‘is it time for Mean Mr Mustard yet?’. The guitar (unless it’s a bass
) is a little odd. It’s sometimes a bit fuzzy, and other times very pure. The kick drum… my right ear is sore now! Ringo should have used his low tom instead of his kick, it would have been less invasive. The fake Latin is also another issue I have. This one I can appreciate, but I can’t like it.
