A bit annoyed Lovely Rita and Got To Get You Into My Life aren’t higher, but a very good selection of songs here. 52 tens were given, and Hey Jude got the most with 8.

Some very, very good songs in this batch. The reprise, She Said, and Lady Madonna are all utterly fantastic songs, that IMO ever so slightly eclipse the other songs in this round. Not by much though (with the exception of Boredom Happiness Is A Warm Gun ). I realise that my opinion on HIAWG is very unpopular though – it completely annihilated any of the other song’s chances of getting top honour for this round, with 10 tens, and no other song came close to that. 51 tens were given in this round. Also note that the album version of Get Back has now appeared, but not the single version.

One reason was that ‘Girl’ as a word appears in more than one username. Were it to be linked to the song article, every time Ahhh Girl’s name appeared, or Beatlebug when she was Silly Girl, they would link, which could get confusing with mentions as well. Not all songs are linked. There are also problems with songs titles with brackets in, so Anna isn’t linked; while there are others, like Something , that only link when the word has a capital S – it still means it often links in conversations that aren’t relevant to the song as it can often be the first word of a sentence.
The majority of song titles are linked because they’re pretty much all that can be meant when using them, but a few don’t because of how common the use of the word or phrase is, or because brackets prevent it.

The End received 13 tens… 70 were given overall. Honestly I really don’t think there are many surprises now – these last songs have to be very good to get an average of 8.5 from an entire forum – some of us (including myself…) were very hard markers, so anything above an 8 is a very, very good score, imo. I’m a touch surprised The End and Paperback Writer didn’t get higher – Paperback Writer deserves to be higher than =21st. In the last 15 remaining songs, only 6 scores of 1, 2, 3 or 4 were given. From 26 people, and 15 songs, these last few must be really good. Better than these latest songs?
