I was amazed when I couldn't find The Long And Winding Road in this list.

I think it's a Masterpiece , that could even topped that list.

TLAWR is usually seen as being too sickly due to Spectors orchestration as well as some peoples view its a bit of a dirge ie lasts too long whilst being too slow. Personally i prefer the basic take as found on Anthology 3 but still like the Spector version.

Tho TLAWR is still the Beatles last #1 single in the U.S. and will probably be so for the forseeable future if not forever.

I would really like to buy this but can only seem to find a copy online. Anyone know if it's out in Britain yet?

Whew!

When I first saw the title to this topic, I thought we had to list our top 500 favorites.

I wouldn't be concerned about whether or not a song you like is someone else's list. These things are so subjective.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Sorry for saying this, but RS lists are stupid.

Just a thought : How come they consider Radiohead's Kid-A is the best album of the 2000s, and yet, it's listed in the 458th place of the best 500 albums of all time? It just doesn't make sense. blue-meanie

It's an old issue, you'll need to buy it online if you want a copy.

I told her I didn’t
