Okay, correct me if I'm wrong (and correct me nicely), but I noticed years ago In Spite Of All The Danger was a little sharper than E and a little flat for E#/Fb. I noticed this as well on That'll Be The Day a few days after. I wasn't slow on picking this up, just haven't posted anything about it. Anyone else notice this?

No, I didn't notice it, then again, I don't even knoww what Fb and the rest of them stand for so I guess it kinda figures. What does surprise me about the record is how good it is! I know some people have mocked the Quarrymen and stuff, but really, it's great, so lovely and innocent; I actually prefer That'll Be the Day to Buddy's original

Even if you don't know all that stuff, it's pretty easy to tell that the Nowhere Boys version is a little lower in key. However, the Anthology version is just a little higher in key than originally recorded.

Amazing I found this thread... anyway, at WogBlog, a rare Quarrymen disc with the two songs that was on sale at ebay. [x-posted at the news thread]

Most interesting! I doubt it is one of the McCartney 50, but it could be a copy. If it was one of the 50, eBay would be the silliest place to sell it. While the original is by far the most valuable piece of vinyl in the world, purely because of what it is, it wouldn't surprise me that when the McCartney 50 do start to appear (as they undoubtedly will) they will be sell in the tens of thousands.

Hopefully whoever buys it puts the audio online so we get the unedited In Spite Of All The Danger .
Would be interesting if it is a genuine 1981 print. Question is if you, like Faceo, have enough money to splurge on frivolities do you meet Paul for 10 minutes or own something quite special and rare? And no you can't have both or own Paul.

Ah, but with my unlimited resources, I could buy the original and meet Paul. But really, if I had to choose one, I'd meet Paul. He's a once in a millennium person.
Where's my loan?
