Yes, I was wondering how long it would take for someone to mention Ahhh Girl/Ahhh Girl to see it herself. I’m scared!
And so I should be!
Ahhh Girl, DO NOT open this next spoiler or else you’ll get a bad surprise!
When I first listened to Girl, (a couple of yeas ago), I absolutely hated it. It was only upon listening to it for the second time (a week or two ago) that I liked it…

I discovered one of their oldest songs, “I’ll Follow The Sun ” recently and now it’s one of my favorites!

it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out that her username came from that song.

Don’t believe all those Nasty things that have been posted about me.
I’m all love and cuddles.
I’m glad you have come to your senses , @The Hole Got Fixed, and you now like Girl. That is why I never say there is a bad Beatles song. There are only ones I haven’t come to appreciate as much as I appreciate the others. I know the time will come when they will all strike me for some reason or another.

As some of you may recall, I used to have ‘There are no bad Beatlesongs — some are just better than others’ as my signature. But I like AG’s way of putting it even better.

Paul’s Coming Up (the official one, not the live one with Wings which everyone seems to think is better) Love the music video too, with Paul playing his younger self!

All Beatles songs are equally good, it’s just that some are more equally good than others.

Similar to you, I had alwas listened to the live version many years before I heard the studio version. I love the studio version much more! I love the simplicity and almost tinnyness of it.
Also Paul plays all the characters in that video except 2… both which are played by Linda.

I was listening to a podcast where isolations for the various instruments on You Can’t Do That were played and now I feel like I’m hearing the song for the first time. Those little drum fills Ringo does at the end of each verse, that guitar riff…it’s even more perfect than I thought. For a minor song in a vast catalogue…this is a sterling performance.

@Ross Campbell … and according to Beatles lore, McCartney wrote “I’ll Follow The Sun ” when still a teenager.

I recently discovered the extended version of Goodnight Tonight. That song used to be my favorite Paul song as a young’n. Listening to the extended version made me re-fall in love with it. I love that it actually is an extension to the song and not some dance mix, I mean, there was a whole new verse that I had never heard before.

I discovered a nice handful of songs today:
#9 Dream: So airy and dreamy! I love the chorus. Don’t know how I didn’t find this one earlier.
Check My Machine: Wow! Interesting, different and very danceable. Definitely going on the list of favourite Paul solo songs.
Kreen-Akrore: I’m guessing @Ahhh Girl and @Mademoiselle Kitty >^..^< like this one…
…hehehe, I like it too.

I can imagine how active this forum will be if Carnival Of Light is ever released…
But for me, it’s Calico Skies from Flaming Pie , which is an entire album I’m just getting around to, surprisingly. It’s really, really good…

Run For Your Life is running up my rankings quite quickly, which makes 7 songs I’ve discovered on Rubber Soul in the last year!. One for each of them!
