That is a good song! I can imagine Paul making funny faces while singing it.

I can’t believe I never actually went and listened to this before:
and yes, of course it was inspired by peppy’s birthday being today, and I remembered there was a song about the unearthly paradise, and so I went to listen to it. ‘Tis very pleasant– paradisaical, I was about to say

I’m currently very much enjoying Back Off Boogaloo. Can’t believe that I didn’t listen to it sooner!
(This comment was posted on my birthday very appropriate)
I remember when I was just becoming a big Beatles fan when I was 15 and I was listening to a Beatles’ radio at like 3am and ‘Back off Boogaloo’ started playing, I remember sitting bolt-upright and going “what the hell is that great track?!?!”.
I amn’t a massive solo-Ringo fan but I dig Back Off Boogaloo!
Solid track.

Love the line
Looks like a little brother to the sun
A wonderful reference that you feel had to be made considering the song but is done in such a subtle manner; it could easily just glide by.

Good to hear you’re exploring that’n. One of my favourite atmosphere albums. Nice little tune too, I never liked it as much as everyone else seems to but considering it’s a ‘little brother to the Sun’ it could be so much worse… I appreciate the finesse with which it was done.

” Cage ” By Paul Mccartney was an unreleased song from Paul’s “Back To The Egg ” sessions, should’ve been released it’s great!
” Here Comes The Moon ” By George Harrison , A great and underrated song that’s a spiritual sequel to ” Here Comes The Sun “.
Bonus: ” The Light That Has Lighted The World ” By George Harrison is quite beautiful with some classic guitar playing by George.

The 2 disc version of Off The Ground . I found out there was a 2 disc version of the album, and I was surprised I’d never heard of it.

"Sometimes I wish I was just George Harrison" - John Lennon
When I first got into the Beatles, I was so focused on John and Paul (in terms of solo Beatle work). One day I was listening to the radio and was like “this is a great song/it sounds like Harrison!” and sure enough, it was George. The more I looked into his solo work, the more I began to appreciate him as the amazing artist he was. All Things Must Pass is a fantastic album.

Currently listening to Cloud Nine . Man, could he make that guitar sing beautifully. Just like himself.
Just discovered “This Song” (yeah, that’s the real title) on Thirty Three and 1/3. May have to go grab that album in the future.

Ha, yeah, that’s a brilliant tune. It’s all about the My Sweet Lord lawsuit thingy, and the accompanying music video is a hoot and a half a well.
George’s underappreciated* sense of humour!
