Paul lost his confidence sometime between 1971 and 2018
Ram 1971 – The Backseat of My Car
We believe that we can’t be wrong
Egypt Station 2018 – I Don’t know
What am I doing wrong, I don’t know
Where am I going wrong, I don’t know
Why am I going wrong, I don’t know
What’s the matter with me

She’s A Woman and It’s Not True both have McCartney telling off other people who don’t see his love interest the way he does.
People tell me that she’s only
Foolin’, I know she isn’t.
Some people say she’s a bad girl
Some people think she’s a fool
Some people tell me she’s no good
But I’m telling you, “It’s not true, it’s not true, it’s not true”Some people say she’s a loser
Some people tell me that she’s through
Some people say I don’t love her
But I’m telling you, “It’s not true, it’s not true, it’s not true
What they’re saying about her isn’t true”

While it’s not a Beatles recording, there’s the song Nobody I Know, written by Paul (and attributed to Lennon/McCartney), that reached #10 UK and #12 US for Peter and Gordon in 1964.
It has the repeated lyric of:
Nobody I know could love you more than me
as well as the inversion (of “you” and “me”):
Nobody I know could love me more than you

It’s cool enough that Paul McCartney in mid-August ’76, while touring North America, was competing on the hit radio airwaves (at #3 and #1) with his current hit against his former band’s decade-old song …and cooler that both songs are Paul originals, and have similar themes of ‘welcoming’ in their title. The earlier song was an ode to pot; whereas “Let Em In” could conceivably portray a protagonist who is too stoned and lazy to get up off his chair and answer his own busy door! And it mentions by name Paul’s Auntie Gin, who herself once tried a joint gifted by Paul to reassure her that he wasn’t destroying his brain with drugs. (Hilarity apparently ensued)
