From Distractions

While the telephone rings on the kitchen wall,
Pretend we're not at home and they'll disappear.

Those pair well.

Run For Your Life - “Well you know that I’m a wicked guy and I was born with a jealous mind.”

Jealous Guy - “I’m just a jealous guy.”

No Reply - “I tried to telephone, they said you were not home, that’s a lie.”

I’m Losing You - “Somehow the wires have crossed, communication lost, can’t even get you on the telephone.”

Me used to be angry young man
Me hiding me head in the sand
...
It's getting better, since you've been mine

Paul revisits this theme in Happy With You.

I walked around angry
I used to feel bad
But nowadays my days
Don’t have to be sad
‘cos I’m happy, with you

From Little Willow

Bend little willow
Wind's gonna blow you
Hard and cold tonight

From With a Little Luck

The willow turns his back on inclement weather

For some reason the doo doo doo doo parts in Taste of Honey and Here Comes The Sun sound sound "related" to me. Does anyone else think they are somewhat similar? Maybe a more musically-inclined person can explain why I might find those two bits a little bit alike.

They do share some similarity, @Ahhh Girl

The Doo-doo-doo-doo debate:

Notes

Here Comes The Sun : C#, A, B, C#

A Taste Of Honey : B, C#, E, F#

You can see the last two notes of the Here Comes The Sun doos are the same as the first two of A Taste Of Honey

Tempo

Here Comes The Sun : 129

A Taste Of Honey : 101

Not very similar, but not really different either.

General

The fact that the doos are used in both songs as an interjection right after a line of lyrics could be a factor

I hope that may help a little?

I don't know if this has been said already, or if it counts because they're both covers and one is a solo song, but You Really Got A Hold On Me and Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea have similar themes.

"By all means, I'd be quite prepared for that eventuality." - George Harrison

In I've Got A Feeling , Paul sings "oh no" while John sings "oh yeah."

I recently saw ten minutes or so of the rooftop concert, and their performance of I've Got A Feeling has given me a whole new appreciation for the song.

It has similar words and not similar themes, but I was listening to The Rising Sun and noticed the line "Here and there, nowhere and everywhere." Betcha can't guess what Beatles song I was reminded of. a-hard-days-night-george-10

George seems to have a thing for speeding up and/or changing the pitch of his tapes:

You could also include some of his backwards solos like I’m Only Sleeping. They’re probably the origin of his interest in tape speed manipulation.
